SOURCE: how to replace motor and circuit board in my peg

the motor is easy, just pull off the plastic hubcap with a flat head screwdriver, then remove the nut and bolt with a 13mm wrench, then pull off the wheel and gearbox and disconnect the wires from the motor then its just two screws that hold the motor on, for the circuit board it depends on wether you got the new style with the poly switches on the board or if they are seperate

Does a dremel 400 xpr have a fuse? I have hardly ever used mine, but followed instructions for checking brushes, ran it to seat the brushes and now it won't start.

I don't know if it has a fuse - I know little about the Dremel brand but I have had some experience of similar other brand tools. The electronics seem less than completely reliable being physically too small for the job of speed regulation, torque compensation, radio interference suppression, etc. - everything is crammed into a tiny space and the circuit board is typically on the cheap and nasty side. If there is a fuse it would typically be found on the circuit board.

Mostly the failure of such tools, in my experience, is caused by the electronics though nothing can be ruled out.

I suggest you check the mains cord using a multimeter and then check the motor and if both are OK it is fairly safe to assume the fault is circuit board related.

Have Dremel MOD 395 motor runs and speed control works bot shaft won't turn--worth fixing ??? and how

Hi Larry, The tool that you require parts for was discontinued many years ago. Limited parts are available from Dremel. Inside the tool is a flex coupling and spline driver. The flex coupling is # 2615294309 and the price is about $ 1.25. This is the hollow plastic sleeve about 1" long with grooves on the inside, that goes between the motor shaft and the output shaft. The spline driver is # 2615294308 for about $ 1.00. Spline driver sits on the direct end of the motor shaft. The flex coupling sits over the spline driver. Spline driver is about 1/4", hard plastic with grooves on the outside. Total shipping for orders under $ 5.00 is $ 2.50. Orders over $5.00 is $ 4.00. There could be a tax charge depending on which state you live in. Here is how to order: Call Dremel Customer Service at 1-800-437-3635 , Monday-Friday from 7 am to 6 pm central time. VISA, MasterCard or Discover to place a Visa, MasterCard or Discover order. To order by mail: Dremel 4915 21st Street Racine, WI 53406 USA 1-800-437-3635 ext. 3636

How do you replace a battery on a Braun 7680 Shaver?

I replace my Bruan 7680 battery. I place the order for battery from Amazon, cutter& foil from goodmans.net. The following is my procedure 1.Using a small flat screw driver to plier the plastic socket lock (Where the charging located ) 2.Disassemble left and right plastic holder 3.Disassemble plastic cover top and bottom 4.Take out the circuit board where the battery mounted on. Please be careful at this process you could ruin the circuit board while taking the old battery out(I used a soldering and a small wood stick just to take the extra flux away from contact to other on the circuit board). It is not as difficult as I thought. 5.During your install a new battery please make sure that the batter pole does not go the same way(Check direction of a battery before taking it out so you do not put in the wrong direction) 6.Putting them back together. Note #special tool required to take out the circuit board from a mounting? My the battery replacement came with the tool)

Wont work... it did, batteries changed

Hi

There can be a number of reasons why it stopped working. When you have already changed the battery, then it must be something wrong with the inner mechanism. Try cleaning the circuit board.Take the razor apart (you need very small Phillips screwdrivers). Clean the circuit board with small amount of alcohol and q-tips, being careful not to catch any cotton on the components of the board. At this point you can at least confirm that the motor is not burnt out and the batteries are charged by placing a flathead screwdriver between the positive terminal of the battery and the motor. It should come on if the motor and batteries are okay. Press reset button at then see if it comes on using the on/off button. You can do this step with the razor disassembled or assembled.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

Help about assembling my trimmer

I had recently put together one that may or may not be the same - the head seperated from the body, and a small spring loaded detent inserts in the backside that "locks" the head at steadily increasing disances (lengths). The hardest part to assemble is the switch: which the outer slider is installed first, then the switch assembly (w/Small printed circuit board ) is slid very deeply into the plastic body of the shaver - you'll see where it locks into place. Then the lower circuit board and prongs attach at the bottom (also you can see where it locks in). Lastly, the battery is installed within its' holder and snaps into the plastic case. The two pars of the cases are then mated and click-lock into place (Think there's a single phillip's screw to keep it locked). Lastly, the blade cover snaps into place from the top, and you should be good to go - I never got to take it apart, but I had to put it back together...I believe that's how it goes, and mine works - there is no allowance for error, and it looks to me that if it's not 100% right it won't go together anyhow - good luck...

Go to Dremel.com or call toll free1-800-437-3635 and tech service might be able to get you a schematic and wiring diagram. It does sound as though the switch is either wired incorrectly or put in upside down. If I have helped you on this would you please take the time to rate me accordingly and Thank you

Remington M8221 Help

STEPS

• Thoroughly clean the razor cutter area
• Pull off (straight out) cutters and lay aside
• Release spring clips and remove
• Gently pry up and remove rubber boot
• Pry case open starting at cutter end and bending up toward connector end
• Thoroughly clean razor interior area (blow out)
• Pull up motor and remove black oscillator bars
• Pry up the circuit board by releasing the cutter-end catch using a small tool to push it in while prying gently up on the cutter-end of the board and bending up
• Clean the board and turn it over
• Note battery polarity and mark on board if not present already
• Unsolder the battery tabs using unsolder braid. Be careful not to short the electrical circuitry as the batteries are electrically LIVE at this point.
• Remove the old batteries and fully clean off the circuit board solder-pads using unsolder braid.
• Mark the installation date on the new batteries in a place where it will be visible
• Install new batteries, making sure the polarity is correct (cut the tabs to a correct length if they extend too far through the circuit board)
• Solder the battery tabs being careful not to short the electrical circuitry as the batteries are electrically LIVE at this point
• Re-install the circuit board and other parts following the procedure in the reverse order (be sure to put a soft rubber pad over the motor to hold it firmly in place when the upper case half is snapped in place)
• Before installing the metal retaining clips be sure that the rubber boot is fully free and not pinched between the case halves
• Finalize the assembly by reinstalling the cutters and screen
