Bad memory stick, possibly. Or maybe bad motherboard. try different memory, and try swapping to different slots.

SOURCE: CMOS Error 0193

The security device plugs into the left front of the MB as viewed from the front. It is approximately 1.5" x 2 inches in size. they sometimes come loose form the socket when a system is moved. Open the case and see if it is there and loose. If completely gone, then you need to contact your MB supplier for either the device, a new board or a factory reprogram of the board to disable the missing device.

SOURCE: My DELL Workstation 670 says

Maybe the memory is the wrong type or is too big (too many Mb for one slot).

Check your Motherboard specs or goto CRUCIAL.COM and run their SCAN MY COMPUTER program to see the max memery size for pc and for each slot.

Good luck and please post back with your results.

Hi, welcome to FixYa.

May I know what your graphic card is? Sometime incorrect driver can lead to this situation too.

SOURCE: Call your hardware vendor for support NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error *** The system has halted

1) ALL power removed, AC adapter (Charger), and Battery

2) Lay a soft cloth down on the table you are working on.
(DO NOT work on a bed, couch, or directly on a carpet floor. HIGH areas of Static electricity)
Lay the Dell Notebook PC upside down on the cloth.(Helps prevent scratching the notebook, and the table)

3) Remove all Ram Memory module/s. ('Stick')

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/xpsM1530/en/SM/memory.htm#wp1180190

[From,

Handle the Ram Memory module by the BODY.
The Body is everywhere on the Ram Memory module, EXCEPT the gold plated contact pins on the bottom.
The Body is coated with a see-through protective plastic,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:1GB_DDR2_SO-DIMM.png

Use a pencil eraser to clean the contact pins. ALL pins, BOTH sides.
If you are using a pencil eraser on the end of a pencil, and not a solid eraser, refrain from letting the metal band of the pencil, touch the gold plated contact pins.

Rub up, and down on each contact pin. Doesn't take much pressure, nor rubbing to clean them.
In fact when you are done the contact pins may not be bright, and shiny.
It's okay I assure you that you have cleaned them.
(Doesn't take much 'corrosion' to make a bad contact surface)

Use air to remove the eraser dust. If you have a can if compressed air available use it. (Also use on the ram memory slots)
If not air pressure from your mouth will be sufficient.

Reinstall all Ram Memory modules.
Reinstall the Battery, and then plug the AC adapter in. (Then plug the AC adapter into power)

WAIT 1 minute, turn the laptop on.
