Comment on oily beans - try not to use them. If you are looking for a stronger flavor coffee, an an extra shot to your drink. Oily beans cake inside the grinder, brew group + components and strains them potentiallu causing malfunctions.
Also dark beans are usually over roasted which makes the makes real coffee flavor lose. Espresso coffee beans should have very little to no oil and be unifrom in color.
Another approach if you are looking for stronger coffee flavor. use less water instead of more coffee. Two shots of 2 oz. espresso (made with 7 grams of coffee) are more flavorful & sweeter than one shot of 4-oz. espresso made with 14 grams of coffee. Hi Try reprogramming the machine. Push and hold the button for the coffee you want, but hold it all the way through the process. Don't release the button until you get the amount of coffee you want for that button, then release the button. That should get you the same amount next time. You can do this for each coffee button. If that doesn't fix it, then you might need a new flow meter.

easiest thing to do is put it outside to dry or use a blow drier to dry it up, it should be ok

You have a problem with flowmeter . It must be changed. If you can open the cover of the machine you will see it in the bottom under the boiler. Water from water tank go trought it and then go in to the pump.
Change it and you can use the machine.
