Epoxy wont hold you need a new coil. about 8 to 12 hundred depending on your location. If it is 10 years old I would suggest you change the air handler. You will get a lot more efficient unit. Cost about 2200 but you will get a 10 year warranty from most manufacturers. Dont buy one unless you get a 10 year warranty. Russ

Installed a tankless gas hot water heater a few months ago, and ever since then when ever I turn on the hotwater, I get pockets of air coming out of the faucet. There are no leaks in the water lines, but...

1) Never, ever install tankless water heater, unless your wallet is 2" thick and you enjoy nuisance problems and recommended continual maintenance.
2) Add in-line air vent.
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/Air-vent-added-to-return-22.jpg
3) Look for check valve along the line. Look for mixing valve, pressure regulating valve, etc.
4) If you have recirculation system, remove cross-over check valve and see if problem is located there.
5) Contact Rheem. 800-432-8373 They will want model number, serial number, and name of installer. And might recommend contacting installer or plumber.
6) Increase water flow. Check water flow requirement of tankless (.5 gallons per minute activation) with actual flow at faucet.
7) Clean water filter at tankless unit.

8) Crossover at single-handled faucet.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Crossover.html
9) Fix all leaking faucets indoor and outdoor so no air is being sucked in.
10) Bad TP valve on water heater sucking in air each time water pressure pulls on the valve?

Hi i have a Rheem hot water system, it appears as though there is water leaking from the tank on the pilot light, and due to the damp/wet conditions, the pilot light cannot be relighted. Is this the...

If it is the tank that is leaking, you must repace the unit. A hole has opened up somewhere in the tank or one of the connections. Repair is not practical.

How old is your unit, though water conditions are more telling than age. If it is more than 5 years old ... well, it is probably time to replace.

My LG 1 ton window AC is in running (as the sound of running compressure is there)but there is no cooling effect inside, nor any heat in the outside fins. The ac is only 2 years old. Is it due to leakage of...

Hi, if you can hear the compressor running and its blowing room temperature air only, yes, if the air from the out side condenser coil is not hot, I would say you are low or almost out of freon. This is something you will have to call a tech out to find the leak and recharge. Even though it is only 2 years old, they can get leaks due to vibration. I don't know what you paid for it, but it will cost some $$$$ to have someone come out. It may be cheaper to replace it, as the leak could be in one of the coils which it wouldn't be worth fixing. Let me know on what you decide and if you need my help.
Sincerely,
Shastalaker7
PS Take a water hose and wash the out side coil off. do not bend the fins. See if it starts to cool then. If not, you are low on charge.
