Proper I.D. proof of ownership of vehicle. Take it to dealership and explain the situation and they may work with you to get a code for it and in some cases they may bend over backwards to help you and in other situations they may charge a small fee to do it for you. The code should be either in the owners' manual and/or a sticker on the inside of glove box. If neither of those two are available, proper identification and proof of ownership at the dealership can get you the code for a fee. You have to get new keys if it's a newer model vehicle, you first have to take your picture I.D., title or a form of proof of ownership of said vehicle to the dealership and have them to cut and program the key for you. You could call a locksmith and they are somewhat cheaper,. They will come to your home and do the same thing and all you have to do is provide the same info for them to make and program a key for you.
