SOURCE: Can't update software

Hi
As you have isssues with boyh software update and chart I would put my bet on the cartridge reader, it could be a loos or broken pin. Use a penlight or good light and inspect the pins in the reader for damages and check that there is no pin stuck in the Navionics cartridge. If no pin is missing it may just be loose, can be fixed by opening the plotter inspect the reader from behind and use a glue gun to resecure the pin(s). In worst case you will have to replcae the reader (affordable).

Raymarine C70 MFD wont 'Restart GPS'

Perform a factory reset: If your Raymarine C70 MFD is not responding, you can try performing a factory reset. This will restore the device to its original settings and may resolve the issue. To perform a factory reset, follow the instructions provided.

.Factory Reset procedure for a A/C/E-Series Classic Multifunction Display (raymarine.com)

Check GPS source: It's possible that there's some confusion in the system configuration about what GPS source is in use, and this might cause your false Route Complete alert. You can check what's shown in Home > Settings > Network > Data Sources on the Master display.

Update software: If the above steps do not work, you can try updating the software of your Raymarine C70 MFD. You can download the latest software update files from C Series Classic Software ' Raymarine

Raymarine a95 MFD showing a blank screen. I tried putting a SD card in w/ the latest software and it said there was a problem with the card. I bought a new card and now all I get is a blank screen.

I would reinsert the original sd card and then power in. If it works, I would then try a reset.

However, it really sounds like you may have corrupted the data on the MFD software. Rather than risk further damage, I would contact a local dealer that's certified in Repair Services. This website will allow you to find a dealer in your area.

What is the connection path from Garmin 72 to raymarine c80, using NMEA 1083

I'm taking this as you want to send the gps information to your C80 not receive from the C80? If this is the case the brown wire on the garmin is the nmea data out +. The Black wire is considered nmea out neg (-) of the garmin. So hook the garmin brown to the white on the raymarine. Hook the black from the garmin to the green on the raymarine. That means you are outputting lat/long info to the raymarine from the garmin.

DSM Port on RayMarine C80

The only other way would be to change the PSU board in the unit. The connector back plane is connected to this board.I am a authorized Raymarine repairer. I could drop ship you the board from Raymarine and email you an instruction manual on how to change it.I am not located in the US so shipping the unit to me for repair becomes expensive. You can also check with your dealer in Seattle first but I do not think that he can buy the board from Raymarine. Raymarine policy on repairing product is different from country to country. We are on the other side of the world so Raymarine allows us to repair there product as it is to costly to ship it all back to there repair facility in the states or the UK.If your unit is still under factory warranty then if you open it it will void the warranty. So then you would have to send it to Raymarine. With a diagram if you are natural a technical person you will not have a problem changing the board. If you are technically challenged I would say send it to Raymarine. Hope this helps.
