Electrolux esl7220ro is beeping twice. This points to the drain pump but i have checked the pump by adding water to the sump which drains fine. Is there water drain switch/sensor or something else?

Before you go on, keep in mind computers and water are not compatible and most issues with control panels stem from association with water. But if you feel this is not a computer glitch try this: I assume you have cleaned out filters and catch basin under the filter including any debris that maybe lodge in there, There maybe a seed, glass or something in the well by the pump. Before taking DW apart, try disconnecting the drain hose to drain of kitchen sink. Clean the rubber around hose and blow as hard as you can to dislodge whatever obstruction is in the pump. Anything that comes out, clean out. Of course if this does not work it could reverse this by taking drain hose from bottom of dishwasher and blowing any object into the sink drain. If beeping continues ensure that all electrical connections are secure. Should this not work and you feel handy and you still think it may deal with pump, you can always drain mechanism. Should this not work, dissemble and clean pump. Repost should these steps do not work. With as much information on actual noise and or symptoms of DW

SOURCE: Fisher Paykel Wash Machine GWL11US

You may have to disassemble the pump from the line and the diverter valve and physically look to see what is happening.
It seems like you have a stuck valve or plugged one.

SOURCE: whirlpool duet sport wfw8300sw00 f-21 error

Unplug the machine. Unscrew the 3 screws under the front edge of the washer. The service technician manual is attached to the panel that slides down and off. Find F21 code. See suggested procedures. Note: My drain pump filter had a baby wash cloth in it along with some change that was disrupting the flow. It is exceptionally easy to remove, clean, and reinstall. Just line up installation notches when reinstalling. Whirlpool should have mentioned this filter in the User & Care Guide, but I could not find it anywhere in there.

SOURCE: sump pump not pumping water properly

If your pump is turning then something is stopping the water from being removed. If you can see the pump check to see if the water is becoming turbulent when the pump kicks on? If the water doesn't appear to move or is moving only a little then either the pump impeller is damaged or the screen that keeps debris from entering the pump is clogged.
If it's never been cleaned it is most likely just a clogged filter screen. Clean it and it should work fine. If however the screen is clear then it is either a blocked line or a bad pump. And yes a pump can still run and not pump, if the impeller is bad.

SOURCE: Dishwasher not draining water

I had the same problem....removed hoses, checked for cloggs the hole nine yards.....Inside of the unit towards the back in the bottom is a filter cover and in the middle is a valve that you just screw out. It has a rubber stopper that overtime breaks down....I was able to pick up the part locally for about $17CDN, replaced the part and the unit drains properly now.....now I have an issue with no power

My dishwasher did 3 beeps which meant drainage overload so I cleaned tray inside it now I get one beep every 3 seconds I can hear the water filling up but looks like the blades don't go round

Intervention of Anti-flooding system (The cycle is interrupted and the
drain pump switches on)
Could be:
  • Water leakage from the tub - sump and various connections (pump, upper spray arm duct etc.)
  • floating sensor blocked mechanically
  • microswitch faulty
  • fill solenoid blocked mechanically
  • circuitboard faulty (solenoid triac short-circuited)
  • wiring faulty.

Why my AEG F55080vi stops after drain cycle (program beginning) and then it stops and I hear 2 beeps and 2 flash continuously?

Definitely, water drain time-out. Error code i20.
The pressure switch doesn't return to EMPTY (1-2) after two drain phases lasting 120 seconds.
Possible causes:
Drain circuit obstructed/blocked; drain pump
interrupted or jammed (foreign bodies); level
pressure switch blocked on FULL (1-3); hydraulic
circuit of pressure switch obstructed; wiring faulty;
circuit board faulty.

Thanks to your detailed description of failure I conclude that in drain phase (after starts drain pump) leaks water and causing a short circuit. I would thoroughly reviewed drain hydraulic circuit. If is alarm displayed and there is no water inside dishwasher then check heater and anti-interference suppressor.

Oil Drain Plug location

The sump drain plug will be at the lowest possible point on the sump. The one in front of the water pump is probably the water drain plug.

My Kenmore dishwasher does not drain out, What could be the problem?

No drainage, or poor drainage issues are usually caused by either a failed drain pump, or the sump area under the sprayer is clogged with debris. The sump is the area at the bottom of the tub where water collects on the initial fill. A wash pump cycles the water throughout the wash cycle, followed by the same water being drained from the unit by means of a drain pump. This area is usually covered by a coarse screen and fine screen to prevent debris from accumulating. But, over time, some debris may still get past the screens and collect in the sump. This usually results in poor cleaning results due to restricted water flow through the spray arms, and poor draining.

I would recommend you remove the lower spray arm and screens and check the sump area for obstructions. If the unit still has standing water inside, use a wet/dry shop vac to drain. Remove the drain line from your sink and pull a vacuum on the end of the dishwasher drain hose. If the water drains freely from the unit, then you probably have a bad drain pump. If the water will not drain, you have a clog somewhere. Check your drain lines and pump for obstructions.

If you have any questions, please post back with a MODEL NUMBER. I hope this helps you.

Water remains in machine. Machine stops after a minute or so and diplays F11.

F11 means Drainage fault.

Water present in appliance and is not being drained off. The display shows Drain fault F11. The buzzer is activated for 2 minutes.

Background information:
After each drain pump step, the circulation pump operates for 2 seconds and heater pressure switch B1/13 checks the water level. If it is too high (large quantity of residual water remaining in the cabinet), the drainage time is extended. If, after a further check, the water level is still too high, then the program is interrupted, the fault code is saved and the drain pump is activated. Fault code F11 is also registered if heater relay 1K1 is not activated after the fault code F51 register check; see Section 080-3.18. Drain hose kinked. Remedy: Check the drain hose for correct positioning.

Cause: Drain blocked.
Remedy:
1. Clean the on-site drain.
2. Check the sump drain.
3. Check the filters.
4. Check the heater pressure switch and replace it if necessary.

Cause: Ball in non-return valve in sump has not opened (e.g., jammed).
Remedy:
Clean the non-return valve in the sump or replace it if necessary. Cause: Foreign objects in the drain pump.

Remedy:
Clean the drain pump and its impeller.

Cause: Drain pump defective.
Remedy:
1. Check the voltage supply to the drain pump.
2. If correct voltage is present, check the drain pump motor winding.
3. Replace the drain pump, if necessary.

Cause: Foreign objects in heater pressure switch.
Remedy:
Check the heater pressure switch for blockages and correct switching point.

Cause: Heater relay defective. Heater relay (coil or contacts) becomes defective during the drainage step (after fault code F51 register check).
Remedy:
Replace the heater relay.

Hope this helps to solve it.

In other cases, owners found a piece of wood inside the door latch mechanism and removed it. The F11 error has not appeared since.

Hope ths helps.

Affinity E21 error

E21 means "Not pumping out fast enough". Could be debris caught in the pump inlet sump or pump body.
a75737b.jpg Disconnect the inlet sump from the pump. Disconnect the outlet hose from the pump. Remove the (2) screws, one on each side, holding the pump housing to the washer base. Unplug the wires from the pump motor and lift the pump assembly out.
