Why do i have a hard time connecting to the internet when I have all bars

The first step is to open the date and time dialog box located on the task bar on your computer.

Should be on the lower right side of the task bar.

Double click time or right click to open the dialog box.

The date and time box should open on the desk top.

Now click the Internet time tab.

Check the box that says automatically synchronize with an Internet time server.

Then you will see a list of servers.

Select a server from the drop down list.

Check apply and close the box.

Now every time you go on the Internet Windows will automatically set the computer clock to the right time.

Now, there is no need to worry about adjusting the computer clock again!

Your Internet connection is too slow to "download" and "display" the content in real-time.

So, when you start to play a video, press PAUSE, and let the download proceed for a while, i.e,. about 50% of the progress-bar. Then, press PLAY, to play that "buffered" content, while the remaining 50% downloads.

Is there wireless connection nearby? If there isn't you can't use the internet. If there is a WiFi connection go to System Settings, keep going to the right until you see Internet (tap it), then tap Connection Settings. You can tap on either Connection 1, 2 or 3 - it doesn't matter. I don't have an AOSS compatible access point, but check if you do. If you do, tap the AOSS icon and follow the directions given. Of course, I doubt that you would, so tap Search for an Access Point (Manual Setup is hard). It'll begin to search, and if it finds any they'll pop up in a list. Those with grey locks have high security, and can be connected to by searching for access points in Advanced Setup. Those that are golden and unlocked do not require a password and can be easily accessed....and those that are golden but locked need a password. Get it?

Oh yeah, and those little connection boxes with the bars tell you how strong the connection is. I go for the green boxes with 2 or 3 bars. Sometimes if there's nothing else you can try the yellow connections, but they work slower. If the network has no bars, don't tap it - it's a waste of time and will not connect.

Hi ,

1.Connect the router to a computer (hard wired).
2.Type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of the Internet Explorer and hit enter.
3.Leave blank the Username and type admin in Password (only if you have not set the router password).
4.On the Router setu page click Wireless tab (black bar).
5.Click Wireless Security (blue bar).
6.If the Security mode is selected to WEP/WPA, you can note down the password/network key from Key1.
7.If the Security is not set you can configure it from here.

If it is Belkin Then You will need to do the following steps

Step 1 : Connect The Router - Computer ( Wired ) And make sure the modem is not connected to the router at this time

Step 2 : Open RSP By typing 192.168.2.1 on the address bar of internet explorer

Step 3 : On the left hand side click LAN Settings

Step 4 : Leave the password blank and click submit

Step 5 : Change the IP Address into 192.168.3.1

Step 6 : Click Apply changes

Step 7 : Open RSP By typing 192.168.3.1 on the address bar of internet explorer

Step 8 : On the left side click Connection type under Internet WAN

Step 9 : Leave the Password Blank And Click Submit

Step 10 : Choose the Connection type As ( Make sure you get the Connection type right , Contact your ISP About this ) Dynamic \

Step 11 : Click Apply Changes

Step 12 : Connect Modem - Router
Check the Internet Status

Mostly this will work

Step 1 : Check the IP Addressof the Xbox And take a note of it

Step 2 : Open RSP By typing 192.168.2.1 on the Address bar of the internet explorer

Step 3 : On the left side Click Firewall

Step 4 : Leave the Password blank and click Submit

Step 5 : Disable it And Apply Changes

Step 6 : On the left side Under Firewall Click DMZ

Step 7 : Add the IP Address of the XboX in DMZ

Step 8 : Click Apply Changes

Step 9 : Restart the Router

Step 10 : Test the Connection

first go 2 settings. go 2 internet enter it go to connection settings. click connection 1 2 or 3. click search 4 an action point and chose any gold lock acsess point. it will show the strength( 3 bars strong conection 2 bars fair conection 1 bar weak conection 0 bars no connection.)

With internet explorer open go to tools/internet options. Select the connections tab and then click on setup button.

U dint specify that whether u r using the cable Internet or DSL!!

Steps for Cable internet...

1,connect the blue cable between the computer and the router(any 1 of the 4 ports in the router)

2,connect the other Ethernet cable between the Modem(came from ur internet people) and the Router's Internet port(standalone port at the back of the router)

3,In the rear panel of the router u can see the reset button.with the help of the paper or ball point pen,press it hardly and hold it for 1 minute..

4,Now turn off ur modem and the router..wait for other 1 minute..

5,turn onn only the modem first and wait till all the lights lit.now turn on the router and wait till the power light is solid..open the internet Explorer it should work..

STeps for DSL Connection(verizon)

1,connect the blue cable between the computer and the router(any 1 of the 4 ports in the router)

7,linksys set up page will open..there u can see local ip address which says 192.168.1.1.
please change it as 192.168.2.1..click on save settings at the bottom of the page..
it will say like "settings are successful please release and renew the ip address".click continue or OK

8,Now turn off ur modem and the router..wait for other 1 minute..turn onn only the modem and wait till all the lights lit.now turn on the router and wait till the power light is solid.

9, Open Internet Explorer and it shuld Work....

STEPS FOR WIRELESS CONFIGURATION

1,open internet Explorer and in the address bar..enter as 192.168.1.1..it will prompt for a user name and password..leave the user name blank and the password will be admin.

U can see the option WIRELESS in the black bar..click on wireless..
Wireless network mode should be "Mixed".wireless network name can be ur first name or anyother name.select the channel as 11 and the SSid broad cast should be Enabled.click on save settings.it will say like "Settings are successful"click continue.

3,to set the password for ur wireless network...below wireless tab in the black bar..u will find a blue bar which says "wireless security".click on "wireless security". Security mode should be "WEP"..Default transmit key should be 1.wep encryption should be 64 bits..passphrase should be empty..in the key 1 box enter ur 10 digit telephone number(ur telephone number will be ur password for the wireless connection)click save settings and continue..

now in the laptop check whether the wireless switch is turned on...u can find ur wireless signal..while connecting it will prompt for a password.enter ur telephone number there..
u will be connected to the internet..
