Bios update for my older IBM 8189UNU think center

Your machine is a Netvista 6280 or similar. Several models used that MSI motherboard. Go to http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-4RZ2LT

IBM's latest BIOS and all other 6280 drivers are listed.

The MS6188 motherboard uses an Intel 810 chipset, you should not have any drive size problems, at least up to 30 GB, that could not be overcome by partioning the drive.

Hi,

Go to the Bios's Manufacturer's website, they will have it, get the update, and instructions to update.
there is a Specific procedure to follow.

It isn't the fact of the BIOS, it's the motherboard chipset.
The eMachines T5226 uses an Intel 945G.

This chipset only supports processors with up to a 1066MHz FSB.

The Intel 945G is the 12th one down, or last in the list.
Looking across to the right, you can see the Intel processors supported, and the maximum FSB support.

The motherboard's BIOS also won't let you overclock the FSB.

The Intel Core 2 8400 has a 1330MHz FSB,
