SOURCE: notice a problem has detected with this unit

If the home screen is not displayed press home then help. Then press my cycles and back together for 3 seconds.  Read what its says and then turn the power off then back on. It should be ready to go!

Coninuosly repeats spin cycle, any suggestions how to remedy this? I have to manually cancel the cycle in order for the machine to stop recycling through spin

I had a Centennial washer on a service call doing this just the other day... After putting it trough diagnostics I found no errors and all the washer's mechanics tested okay. After resetting the control by putting it trough the diagnostics mode it continued to repeat cycles without restarting the washer.
  • Try running it through diagnostics and see what error codes are in the memory. (Guide is linked below)
  • What are the codes? do they give any more clues?
  • clear the codes and run a test cycle.
  • does it work?
  • if it checks out properly with the diagnostics it's probably a bad control board...

If it does turn out to be the control try contacting Maytag (Whirlpool) for a parts concession... Whirlpool customer service guide is linked below.
Hope that helps! Good luck!

I have a maytag centennial top load washer. When I start a load regardless of cycle it will sense, wash, rinse but then go back to wash and stop

There is an error code if memory serves me right on the back of the unit there are 2 screws on on each side remove them you should be able to slide the top forward and up there is a tech sheet in plastic on the inside front panel it will tell you how to enter diagnostic to find the error code and what steps to take

Repair manual Where I can download the repair manual for the maytag centennial washer

This is a manual. Since there are so many versions, you might need to search for the appropriate one. I searched for "Maytag centennial top load washer repair manual". There was a Maytag site, but download was very slow. http://applianceassistant.com/ServiceManuals/8178628_ml-3_maytag_centennial_top-load_washer.pdf#zoom=100#scrollbar=1#toolbar=1 http://applianceassistant.com/ServiceManuals/8178628_ml-3_maytag_centennial_top-load_washer.pdf

I have a Maytag Centennial top load washer. When washing in normal or heavy with large or super load size, the washer remains in sensing mode. Some water does start to fill, but never reaches wash cycle....

This unit does not handle a super large load as it advertised. When you put a super large load, the sensor is over-sized and will not move on the next cycle.

Maytag centennial washer - power went out while washer was operating. When power was restored the washer does not cycle. I have to turn it manually through the cycles.

Set the timer to any off position. Unplug the unit for 10 minutes. Plug it back in and try that. The worst thing
you can do to a Maytag washer is advance the timer yourself...hope this helps.
