I have the same problem--what foam is to be removed???
The internal packaging on the new AC I bought that has to be removed is unclear. Should I cut out all the hard foam after I remove the front panel.Model FAM 157S1A Frigidaire

you can buy a new power cord or you can use another wire to replace the cord. just buy the same size then you will need to remove the rear cover to access the internal. and then the old cord must be removed from the ac terminal pin and the assembled wire with plug that you buy can be replaced. you can directly re soldered the end of the ac wire at the pcb for ac supply.
See if you can unscrew the handle bar first.
Then search for replacement foam online, maybe on ebay or bugaboo website. And when you have bought the replacement foam grips, you can take a look here to see how to attach them yourself.
html Bike grips and stroller handles work the same way. I just used this post on e-how to replace my maclaren triumph foam handles. Works like a charm - and it's sooo easy!! :)
that is the internal packaging they refer to, it should be a block of foam that is to be removed. You may have to take off the front cover to get to it.
Depending on where you purchased the unit. If you bought it from a mail-house (like the ones out of New York or New Jersey), they have a tendency to break up the manufacture's package and remove the accesories that are supposed to come with it. They sell the DVD player at a reduced price and make a higher profit by reselling the accesories separate. The one I bought (from Macy's) came with the Lithium battery, AC cable, remote, car adapter, AC adapter/charger, and earphones all packed in the box with a carrying handle.
Internal packagings, means in the box-- kits,--brackets--& foam packaging to prevent moving around during shipping or transportations ,and not the unit itself.
LIKE YOU ALL, NO CURE OR REPLACEMENT FOR THE ROTTED PADS. WENT TO HOME DEPOT AND BOUGHT ECONOMY PLUS BRAND AIR CONDITIONER FILTER MATERIAL, ABOUT $3.00, FOR A WALL AC. THEN WENT TO DOLLAR GENERAL AND BOUGHT SCUNCI BRAND BLACK HAIR ELASTICS, EIGHT OF THEM FOR $2.00 TO KEEP PONYTAILS, NOW EAR PADS, IN PLACE. CUT THE AC MATERIAL TO FIT, AND ATTACHED WITH HAIR ELASTICS. ONLY A PURIST WOULD COMPLAIN ABOUT LACK OF COLOR MATCH. THERE WAS A SOLUTION, ONLY A MATTER OF FINDING IT. GOOD LUCK ALL OF YOU.
