Value is too difficult to determine as there are too many things to consider. You can try searching the internet for recent or current machine sales similar to yours. Remember Singer made thousands of each model and a lot of them are still in existence.
For age and information:
Singer Sewing Machine Company Serial Numbers
According to http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_machine_company/serial-numbers/singer-p-series-serial-numbers.html , the P481131 serial number is for a 15K. The assembly of the machine started in the first half of 1901. I can't help you with the value.
I hope this helps.

You have a model 221 which was made on May 24, 1938 at the Elizabethport factory in Elizabethport, New Jersey. There were 20,000 of those made during that particular run which may have been over a few days.
Its value depends on its overall condition and what someone is willing to pay for it. Sight unseen, I would estimate market value for that machine in good running order at between $250 and $400.

Probably not worth much. I have found them setting out for the garbage truck.
