Hi,
The shortcut Ctrl + Alt + Arrow keys rotates the display in 90 degree increments.

I have a emachine w3619, i let my son use it and he changed the login password and cant remember it. and i cant figure out how to get into my computor. how do i go about getting into my computor

Which Password? Bios Password? Hard Drive Password? Windows Welcome Screen User Logon Password?

Which Operating System? Windows XP? Windows Vista? Windows 7?

OK, if you are running Windows 7, Microsoft tightened security on it so you've got to have a password reset disk which 99% of the people who own laptops with windows 7 fail to do. It should be one of the first things you do when you buy the laptop. Otherwise, you're faced with reinstalling the Operating System or possibly doing a System Recovery.

If you're on Windows XP or Vista try this:

Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see the Safe Mode option. Select SAFE MODE and let the computer boot up. When it gets to the User Login screen it will show the Administrator userid and the userid for which you forgot the password. Sign in as the Administrator (hopefully you didn't put a password on it and forgot it too). Once the desktop appears it will look different, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, but this is normal for safe mode.

Click Start/Control Panel/User Accounts
When the User Accounts screen opens, click on the userid for which you forgot the password. Select the option to REMOVE PASSWORD.

Reboot your machine.

I cant find a way to use a live webpage desktop

The earlier "active desktop" function in Windows XP that allowed a live webpage as a desktop is no longer present in Vista. It was replaced by the SideBar. You probably need to look for a sidebar gadget that offers this functionality.
