Sorry but not the wire, I was referring to where the wire is attached, both ends. This would either be a clip-on or sandwiched between 2 small plates held together by a screw. It is not uncommon for this clips or plates to be tarnished or have burns. They have to be cleaned, if not current will not flow freely to the corona wire. The purpose of the wire is to draw the toner from the drum onto the paper, it uses static electricity to coat both the photoreceptive drum and the paper with a layer of positively charged ions. If the corona wire is not getting full charge or no charge at all, this is the primary reason the warming up is taking too long.
Additionally, try to enter service mode; try #, *, CA, #.
To reset the developer counter press 24, Start, 5, Start.
To exit press reset 3 to 4 times or turn main power off/on.

Some part/ unit (developer, drum, imaging unit, fuser) or something else is
not installed properly or is not plugged into the machine. Check all
assemblies that can be removed from the copier, and make sure they are
installed and plugged in properly.
The 'ch' code will automatically
reset when the fault is found.

CH steady means cover is open. Close either front or right cover well.
CH blinking means developer unit or toner cartridge not installed. Remove and return well and firmly.
SOURCE: My sharp photocopier is AR.5316E,and recently is showing "Ch"
Ch means the side door is not closed or the toner is not installed correctly.
