Kenwood DNX573S-Bluetooth screen reads disconnected. Instructions don't address this. How do you get it to work?

i'm assuming you are going through an amplifier. if so it sounds like you are using the blue wire instead of the blue/white wire to turn the amplifier on. i can't really help you with the bluetooth though.

This unit does not support iPhone's address book.

The Kenwood 512 works with the Kenwood KCE-BT200 module. You need to have this box plugged into the main unit to work. If not, then Bluetooth will not be available. When you do have it connected, use your cellular phone to initiate the connection. when prompted on your phone for a passcode, it will be 0000. After successfully pairing your phone to the unit, you can access the telephone menu by holding the "FNC" key on the front of the Kenwood or pressing "TEL" from the source screen.

yeah, I'm having Bluetooth trouble too... didn't know it has a 300 address limit??!! that's dumb. I agree, for a high end piece like this, I'd think it'd be a bit better. My problem is that my address book (which I sent to the unit one by one...) sometimes is there, sometimes is not. Kinda frustrating. Anyone know how to get your address book to be recognized all the time??

I'm sure you know this, but in order to send your contacts to the Bluetooth, you first have to disconnect the device through your phone. Then you can send them one by one. A guy at Car Toys says that the Lenwood unit is notoriously difficult with the address book situation... hope it helps.
