Chances are the wiring underneath to the transmission solinoid has broken. You'll have to drain the washer by laying the drain hose on the floor in a pan. Then turtle (flip on it's side) on a pad/carpet carefully and remove the back panel and trace the wires with a flashlight, If you find the break you can try a heavy duty **** splice but my experiences tell me adding wires to lengthing that cable is a better choice.

The tube goes to the pressure switch and to the bottom of the drum, if it is not connected the machine will continue to fill as the switch is not being told it is full and now needs to change to next part of wash.
Pressure switch is a circular unit located at the top of the machine and has a couple of wires to it.

Hotpoint wma22 fills with water but won't wash or spin

Suspect motor brushes need replacing.
Simple task accessed by removing the top of the washer and releasing the clips holding the brushes into the motor - clip on back of brush - to remove the brush assembly.

Hot point wmlt80, dail clicking and turning, cycle wont start,

Yes, I work for GE what you need to do is to resent the appliance. Something should had happened with the computer of the washer. Just unplugged the machine for 40 seconds. You can unplugged or turn off the circuit breaker for 40 second and plugged back in. Select a normal cycle and let it run.

Washing machne problem

The help that you gave me was completely wrong. The support ring was okay. I solved my problem by buying a new timer and control knobs. The teflong 'gears' were worn out so the knobs rotated freely.

Hotpoint fdw20p dishwasher

You need the control panel to reset before anything else can happen. To do this TURN OFF THE PLUG SOCKET FIRST AND UNPLUG. Then you need to drain ALL the water from the machine. Turn off the water supply feed and place the wastage pipe as low to the floor as poss ( 1-2" off floor). Water will gush out so use a large shallow tray and keep emptying the tray. Tilt the dishwasher over slightly to make sure all the water is out.
This will allow the control panel to reset itself which wouldn't normally happen if the base of the dishwasher was holding even a small amount of water.
Re connect the water, plug back in , select the RESET setting on the dial and close the door and switch on.
Leave for about 20 seconds and then turn off.
Rotate the selector switch to "A" Intensive wash and switch
I found this on another site and it really did work for me

Stuck in wash cycle

check if heating by putting on as hot wash and feeling the door. if no heat, check continuity thro the heater - modern heaters have a non-resettable cut-out in them which can cause problems. no heat then no program advance
