SOURCE: Error 102 (net::err_connection_refused): Unknown
A sudden "error 102" from Chrome while Firefox continues to work is a very common sign of a hijacked system.
Some solutions to an "error 102" from the Chrome website include:
checking for malware
clearing your Google Chrome cookies
making sure Chrome is excepted in the firewall settings
ensuring correct proxy settings
Because FF works and Chrome doesn't, I would think that some malware has adjusted your proxy settings in Chrome. This is relatively common.
Go to Control Panel, click Internet Options.
Under the Connections Tab, click the button "LAN Settings".
Make sure the "Automatically Detect Settings" box is checked.
Make sure the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" is UNCHECKED.
Hit "OK" and all that jazz to make sure your settings stick.
If you still have a problem, make sure your computer is completely clean, clear all your cookies and stuff, and check for any programs that might be blocking Chrome's access (firewalls and antispyware). Hope this helps somebody!

well the easiest thing to do is sync your browser w/your email address. if you haven't done this, there's really no way to restore it unless you do it manually. to sync google chrome to your email do this:
go to the wrench icon @ the top right.
go to options
click the 'personal stuff' tab on the left
the first option is to sync your account, follow the setup instructions.
If you have already done this, there's a button to resync all your settings. good luck!!
