Vista bit locker

VISTA INVOLVES BIOS UPDATE CAN BITLOCKER BLOCK THE BIOS.

  • Anonymous May 11, 2010

I have not herd of vista doing a BIOS update for any hardware. Normally you would download bios updates for your hardware directly from the manufacturer. Bitlocker will encrypt files on your hard disk. It won't offer your bios any protection. Is there a particular threat you are concerned about?

Vista display drivers for 845 gvsr does not support from original mother board CD

hello visioncom468,
I just realized that the 845 graphics chip does not have internal DX9 support there are no
Vista drivers for it. The 945 graphics is the first chip that Intel made Vista drivers for.

Here is the Intel Driver Update Utility. I would run this first to get more info. This utility can only be accessed using Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Netscape browsers.
.
You can try the XP drivers. I dont' really know if they will work.
You can also follow this link and read more about what Intel has to say about it.
http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-029325.htm
Here are all the drivers from Intel. Please not that for both 32 and 64 bit downloads, there are ONLY a BIOS update, Board ID tool, and a manual.

And Vista 64-bit

Toshiba 5005-s504 bios update

the most appropriate bios version can be found on support.toshiba.com for US model or toshiba.ca/support for Canadian model. If the install from windows wont run, i think your os is a 64 bit windows vista. If you do have a 64 bit vista, try this solution. Downgrade to XP then update the bios. it will do work. Then reinstall again the OS 64 bit vista. Its quite bit long but it will eliminate the use of cd or floppy disk.
