I have moved into a property with a Zanussi dishwashers ZD604B. All of the markings on the control dial have been rubbed off. How can I tell where to turn the dial to start each programme?

you can buy a new indicator as a spare - quite cheap. best souyrce would be service force - assuming you are in uk, its in the phone book

if you can here the drain pump run at the start the fault is with the water valve or blockage in the side tank on the lh side. if you dont here the drain pump it possibly the heater thats down to earth. the electronics can detact it and not start the prog if heater faulty.

Go to the file, select print, in print dial box,select properties.,in properties select effects., there you can see the water marks, usually it will be in none., U can edit or use exist mark..

Ariston tc720 dials have rubbed off

We had the same problem when our cleaner rubbed off the markings. Ariston "customer services" were very unhelpful (the model is now so old they don't offer any replacement facias for it) but managed to get replacement stickers from Mark at
http://www.ovenlettering.co.uk/. They come with a diagram for all four dials showing where they should go and are very easy to apply. Would highly recommend.

Hi the most likely cause is the electronic mounted in the control panel behind the progamme dial. there is a relay which can unsolder itself. you can try resoldering (use lead free solder). or change the electronic.

Zanussi Washer Drier

We had same problem with same model machine - basically you have to ignore the letters behind the see through plastic window and write new ones around the dial with a permanent marker that you know are correct and correspond to what you want. It's a lot of trial and error - try and go for the simple dryer function first and mark write the corresponding letter against the dial straight away, then work out the distance between each letter on the proper dial and and you should replicate these distances and letters with your pen.

Check float valve. It is probably stuck. This tells yuor machine to pump the water out and keeps the water valve from opening. Often it is something small that was placed in the dishwasher and lodges under the float telling machine that it is full of water when it is not. The float is somewhere on the bottom inside the machine typically. Make sure it moves freely.
