Push the lower left mode button (C) until the bottom line of the LCD is "HS". Then press either to top right (B) or bottom right (D) buttons to change the position of the hands. The mode button selection is shown on page 1 of the manual. Changing the hands is described in the Analog Timekeeping section on page 4 of the manual. Take the battery out again and let the watch "rest" for a couple of hours without the battery. That sometimes resets the Quartz mechanism, and will allow a clean restart. Also, refer to the following info if needed.

SOURCE: setting analog part of analog/digital cardinal watch

Shortcut battery with AC contact. AC can be found on the sides of watch movement(very tiny). You have to use pointed tweezers: one end on battery+, another on AC contact for three secs.
