Hi,
There is a sensor that regulates how hot the cooker gets and shuts it down to the warm setting when it senses that the heat is too high...meaning that all the water has cooked off....my guess is that the sensor failed and as far as I know it is not replaceable.

Here is a tip that I wrote about rice cookers and the amount of rice and water needed...

IM IN LONDON. I PURCHASED AROMA RICE COOKER THROUGH AMAZON.120V RICE COOKER. How to use it here in London?

Look on the information label to see how many amps it draws at 120 volts. Multiply the amps by 120 to get watts. Next you'll need to get a transformer that will handle the watts when changing 240 volts to 120 volts

Was using rice cooked for sometime. My cooker is not starting to cook whne I press cook button. That is there is no blip and light above cook is not coming. Whereas when I press on warm button, warm button...

In the top cover of your rice cooker there is a sensor that controls the cooking circuit. Most of the t\ime what happens is the wire in the hinge area breaks due to the opening and closing of the lid. I even had to repair my own rice cooker by cutting away the damaged wire then soldering a longer new wire in BOTH wires. I also added shrink tubing over the 4 connections on 2 wires.

Digital oster 20 cup capacity rice cooker wont turn on

Rice cookers will only cook if you have enough water in it. If all the water has cooked out, then the cooker will turn off. Remember when you put your rice in the cooker, make sure you level it off. Then add twice as much water so that it will over cover the rice.
