In order (stop if one works):
1. Recharge at least an hour from power adaptor rather than USB computer lead.
2. Reset by holding down Sleep/Wake button on top right of tablet while at the same time pressing down home button. Keep both depressed 15 seconds. If slider appears or screen dims, keep pressing till Apple appears.
3. Restart (display not working) by pressing and holding Sleep/Wake button till power off slider appears. Drag slider to right. Wait 2 minutes. Press and hold Sleep/wake button till Apple appears.
4. Recovery Mode. With device powered down, hold sleep/wake button down and drag slider to off position. Then plug USB into a computer (do not have usb cable connected to iPad yet) running latest version of iTunes. Hold down Home button while plugging USB cable into iPad. Keep Home button down until Connect to iTunes appears. If does not appear, start Recovery Mode procedure again. When Lightning cable, arrow, and iTunes appears, release Home. Click OK to restore to factory defaults (erases data). Restore data from earlier backup. (Summary of method from Phone Cruncher site.)

What would make my ipad just light and i can't get anything on it?

Try restarting your iPad. To do this, simply press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears; then slide the slider. To turn back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
If tip above does not work, try resetting your iPad. To do this, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time until you see the Apple logo.
If above tips do not work, the issue could be that the battery is fully depleted. Plug it into a wall outlet for a while and see if your battery holds a charge. Please note that it can take up to 20 minutes of charging before the iPad will start up.

  2. Keep holding both buttons held until the screen turns off. It will automatically turn back on again and display the Apple logo.

Sound effects icon on iPad won't go away

try this steps:

Restarting, resetting, or Force quitting the apps.
Restart iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
Force quit an app: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPad for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then press and hold the Home button until the app quits.

Blank screen with Apple logo

You could try to reset the iPad. Press the home button and the on / off button together and hold them till the light goes out.about 5 seconds. Then the apple logo comes back and in within one minute the starts screen should reappear.
I hope it works, because I would hate it if your grandson had to turn over his piggy bank. (Joking)

My ipad is stucked.

This tutorial will explain how to force your iPad to restart if it gets stuck or freezes up.
Forcing your iPad to restart will not cause any loss of data - with the possible exception of any work you were doing at the time the iPad and/or App froze, forcing you to restart it.

Click and hold down the Sleep/Wake button (located on the upper-right corner of your iPad). While you're holding down the Sleep/Wake button, hold down the Home button as well (located on the front of your iPad at the bottom). Hold down both buttons until your iPad powers off. It will reboot and start again with a small silver Apple image on the screen. It takes about 30 seconds for the iPad completely start up.

Can't connect mini iPad to my wifi my other iPad is connected

Always a good idea to shut down and then turn back on (hold down both home button and power button until it turns all the way off. Wait a couple seconds, then press the power button to turn back on)

Try wireless again.

If nothing, then

Obviously check and make sure wifi is on under settings.

If still nothing,

Try resetting your network connections:
Settings > General, then tap Reset > Reset Network Settings

If you can't see any wifi networks at all, you might have a bad wifi card in the iPad. Bring back to an apple store.
