SOURCE: THE bOSCH 300 SERIES WASHING

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

The E13 error code on most series Bosch including the "Nexxt" series washer`s refer to a drainage problem, as you may or may not already know. ( or in Bosch terms "pump time exceeded" )

Anyway, here`s the most likely way to remedy a E13 code.

**Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker before attempting any repairs, and a pair of mechanics gloves are recommended due to extremely sharp edges...safety first**

Get some towels and if possible a wet/dry vac. If the machine drained, it won't be too bad. If your machine is stuck full of water that is typically the reason for a locked door, that sucks...hopefully you won't get too wet. ( maybe you`re lucky enough to be close to a floor drain )

  1. Locate the round door on the front of the machine (about 6" in diameter, lower right corner) macmarkus_26.jpg
  2. Find a drill bit or small screwdriver that fits in the hole in the round door.
macmarkus_30.jpg
3. Insert the bit into the hole in the door. It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force. Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free. (the edges are very sharp so be careful).

4. Once the door is out of the way you'll be greeted by a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so you can unscrew it by hand. ( you should also see a green ring with a string attached, if you pull this the door should unlatch, but getting the water out first is usually a good plan )

There is a small collector lip at the bottom of the cap, that is where you can hold the wet/dry vac to catch the water. Unscrew slowly so you don't get flooded, until it is unscrewed all the way out

5. Now pull out the trap and visually inspect the inside of the pump as well as the filter/trap. Hopefully you'll find the item/debris that initiated the error code.macmarkus_28.jpg

macmarkus_29.jpg

6. After removing any debris or obstruction`s re-install the button trap/lint filter and plug the washer in to power or reset the breaker and give it a test.

7. Run a load and watch for leaks. Leave the pump access door off until you are sure you screwed the cap in tight and there are no leaks.

Ultimately you may have a faulty drain pump, but I would certainly start by performing the things I listed first.

Let me know if you require further assistance and if not and this solves your problem, please rate the solution I provided accordingly.

Thank you for coming to "FixYa" and good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

SOURCE: door wont open on bosch classixx 6 1400 express washing machine

Hi,
The "F16" on a Bosch indicates the door is open / unlocked. If it's happening during a wash it would suggest either a faulty door lock, faulty wiring or worse, a faulty main control board. The wash program should halt when this comes up but you should be able to restart it when the door is closed. As the cost of a new door interlock isn't overly expensive. The best way to fix this problem is to purchase a new lock and fit it.
Thank you !

SOURCE: door locked and won't open

Hello and welcome to fixya. The "E13" error code on the WFMC series Bosch washer`s refer to a drainage problem as you may or may not already know. ( or in Bosch terms "pump time exceeded" ) What you may have is either a clogged pump, improper detergent being used, ( must use "HE"/lo-sudsing detergent ) hence suds not allowing a proper drain cycle, or wires loose at the pump...the later being the least likely. You haven`t mentioned if you`ve checked the pump...just hoses as you did mention. Anyway, here`s the most likely way to remedy a E13 code. **Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker before attempting any repairs** Get some towels and if possible a wet/dry vac. If the machine drained, it won't be too bad. If your machine is stuck full of water, I can't say, hopefully you won't get wet. ( maybe you`re lucky enough to be close to a floor drain ) Locate the round door on the front of the machine (about 6" in diameter, lower right corner) Find a drill bit or small screwdriver that fits in the hole in the round door. Insert the bit into the hole in the door. It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force. Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free. (the edges are very sharp so be careful or wear chain-mail gloves). Once the door is out of the way you'll be greeted by a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so you can unscrew it by hand. ( you should also see a red ring with a string attached, if you pull this the door should unlatch, but getting the water out first is usually a good plan ) There is a small collector lip at the bottom of the cap, that is where you can hold the wet/dry vac to catch the water. SOURCE: Bosch E13 error on washer

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

E13 error in your Bosch WFMC washer is a drain error and is displayed when the drain time exceeds & the washer is unable to drain so the door won't open sometimes when this error is displayed. You will have to clean the drain trap in the bottom right hand corner. You can stick a straighten paper clip in the access panel located inside the front bottom panel through the whole and then turn the access panel counter clockwise to unscrew the plastic drain cap behind it. After everything is cleaned and the error returns then replacing the drain pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Hi!

The door lock uses electrical power to keep the door closed. Unplug the machine from electrical power and the lock will be released in a couple of minutes. Please be sure not to flood the room if the water level inside is above the door level.

Regarding the E13 error itself, it means too long draining time, and it can be caused commonly by something stuck in the drain filter. To get to this filter and clean it, you have to look at the lower part of the machine and remove the circular panel, then insert a little screwdriver into the hole and twist , the acces pannel will get open. Now twist the handle of the filter and pull it out. Now it can be cleaned. CAUTION: opening the filter will cause all water inside the machine to get out, so have some towels handy to avoid water to spread all over the floor.

Hope it helped,

Bogdan

Code E13

For a Bosch washing machine, Error 13 is pumping time exceeded. So, in general, the issue is pump related. Things to check would be if the pump is blocked (it can be cleaned out if you can get the service door in the front panel off), check the wiring connections to the pump, and check the drain hose to make sure it is not blocked.
