Take the ice maker out and look at the mold. If the coating is flaking off then that is where it is leaking. Will need to replace the ice maker.

SOURCE: ice build up

There may be a drain tube for the frost free located in the panel behind bottom drawer. The drain tube sounds to be full of ice. You will need to remove all items from freezer and use a hair dryer to melt the ice fully. Also remove the cover panels so you can tell when you get the drain unplugged. Pour hot water down to make sure the line is melted and free of other pluggage.

SOURCE: Ice build up on bottom of freezer. Water leaks out.

Your problem is possibly one of two things. The ice maker is leaking or the defrost tray behind the rear panel inside freezer back wall is clogged with ice or something else. If you know its not the ice maker unplug the refrigerator and remove the back panel to see if the drain is blocked there, Let me know, Sea Breeze

SOURCE: ge monogram bottom freezer ice maker spills ice

It takes weeks for ice to dissipate in a freezer.
You may can adjust your cut off lights or wire cut off to cut off before it's so full.

SOURCE: refrigerator is leaking water into drawers and out on floor

Your defrost drain is clogged . Remove the rear freezer panel and using a hair dryer , defrost the aluminum tray below the coils . When you see the drain hole , defrost it and use a small tube to insert and blow thru to remove any possible "gunk" . You may have to use a little hot water to help defrost the drain , but keep at it until you can blow thru it .

There is water freezing under the bottom mount drawer. The ice is so thick that water is leaking out the front onto the floor. There is no information in the manual about troubleshooting this problem

Try to have it fixed under warranty.
If that does not work, here is what is usually wrong.
(I maintain a dozen of these and see this all too often.)
One day, the freezer drawer might have been left open, even for a short time.
I mean, not closed tight.
This causes warm air to enter the freezer, and then ice forms where the warm air met the cold air.
The ice forms in and around the gasket, which then keeps the door from closing tightly, which then causes more ice to form, etc.
After a good defrosting , and cleaning, (especially the gasket), see if a fresh start has fixed this.
If it happens again, you might need a new drawer gasket.
God bless your efforts.

Water is freezing in the bottom drawer GEProfile bottom drawer freezer and leaking water on floor

Sounds like your drain tube is blocked in the freezer for the defrost water. The drain tube is in the back left or right corner and will have a drain trough under the cooling coils tilting towards it. That trough will probably have ice built up all over it. Once the ice is out you may need to force hot water down the drain tube. I use to use a turkey baster with a rubber hose on it to force the hot water down the drain tube. Its clear when you put water in the trough top and it goes down the tube freely to the drain pan under the refrigerator.

Try again with a new filter. If that doesn't work you might consider getting a service person. If in warrenty call the place you bought it from. If not there may be a silent recall on this.

Whirlpool refrigerator--water freezing in floor of bottom freezer then leaking onto floor

whirlpool bottom freezers with ice forming on the freezer floor is nothing new. It is formed most likely by an ongoing issue with the design of the defrost drain becoming clogged and there is a revised kit for it part# W10619951.

Whirlpool has extended the warranty of this issue only to two years from the date of purchase and will usually give you the part but charge for install.

It can be put in in less then 10minutes using just a 1/4" hex bit and a small flat blade screwdriver to release the clip on the old "slide" style drain.

Once installed,it is best to defrost the fridge for at least 24 hours (doors open and unplugged) to make sure all ice is melted from inside the unit.

If your drawer was not closing, you would have frost.. If your defrost timer (which virtually no newer units have since digital controls are the norm with adaptive defrost) then you would have frost, not ice.

The fact that you have water is telling me it is defrosting and re freezing.

List a model# for further support if needed please

Kitchenaid kbfs25ewms2 freezer leaking water

Normally I would agree a water line is the issue however on this particular fridge this is not the case. If you open the freezer door, notice the placement of your hand. Unless it is dead center of the handle this is the cause of the problem and what I believe is a major design flaw. Depending if left or right handed, every time the door is opened the metal tracks that hold the door are being bent. If you remove the bottom freezer basket you will notice the back support bar that is attached to the metal rails is not longer straight. What ends up happening is, certain times when the door is pushed closed it seals completely and other times it does not. The times it does not, there is inch gap between the rubber seal on the door and the fridge itself(left or right side). The freezer warms up and items start to melt. As the cycle of freeze and thaw continues you end up with the entire basin full of ice. Eventually when the door does not shut properly and the ice melts it has nowhere to go expect your floor. This is why sometime you will have a pool of water and sometimes you won't but it always leak from a corner. Learned this first hand and ending up ruining 30sq of hardwood floor

Water leaking from door: top left door of my french door fridge (with freezer on bottom)--water leaking from the very bottom right corner of that left side door

your drain is clogged. if ice isbuilt up in the freezeer floor. when the freezer defrosts and the drain is clogged it has no where else to go other than ouot the front. pull everything out of the freezer and check twards the rear at the bottom. remove as much ice as possibile let set unplugged and door open for 3 hours. then take a cup of boiling water and pour it back there. if it dont drain repeat that process with the water-have a towel ready because if the water stays back there long enough it will get cold. you need to keep the water HOT. ice could be built up in the drain. hope this helps

Amana bottom freezer: water leaking & ice build-up

There should be some kind of drain at bottom of freezer compartment to collect and run off any condensate that collects during defrost cycle.. Clean out the drain and snake out the line that leads from it. Right now the liquid is collecting where it should not and it will leak out the gasket when you have enough of it.
