Go back to win 7 since the software is NOT compatible with Win 10. There is a compatibility mode feature that you might want to try but don't hold your breath.

Testimonial: "Didn't tell me what the compatibilty mode was & where to find it."

Boy, you are really lazy. Google compatibility mode in window 7

SOURCE: MY OLD COMPUTER WINDOWS XPS

The short answer is yes, Family Tree Maker 2010 is fully compatible with Windows 7.
The Family Tree Maker team has been working with Windows 7 for several months-even prior to the release of Family Tree Maker 2010. Since the "Release to Manufacture" (RTM) version of Windows 7 was released last August, we have done additional testing in our labs as well as with alpha and beta customers with no indication of incompatibility. Family Tree Maker 2008 and 2009 are also compatible with Windows 7.
As a point of interest, it may be helpful for people to know that we continually test Family Tree Maker with 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
If you find a problem while running Family Tree Maker on your operating system, the best course of action is to contact customer support which can usually help you identify and solve the problem.

D3dx9_37 is missing?

This is due to the fact that your Direct X 9 version is either out of date or just plain missing.
The d3dx9_37.dll file is one of many similar files contained in the DirectX software collection. Because DirectX is used by most Windows based games and advanced graphics programs these errors usually show up when using these programs.

To fix this it is as simple of downloading the latest version of DX9.
Click here to go to FileHippo and get the June 2010 version. Click on the green arrow to the right to start the download.

I've had many people ask me "how is this possible when I've just installed Windows Vista or even Windows 7." The simple answer is that when you install Windows Vista for example it ONLY installes Direct X10 components and when you install Windows 7 it ONLY installs DirectX 10 or 11. Therefore you will need to seperately download and install DirectX 9 in order to play games in DirectX 9 solve this problem.

If installing the latest version of DirectX 9 doesn't solve the problem then do the following:
  • Explore the game CD you are trying to use and find the DirectX 9 version the game or program came with. Install this version.
  • Uninstall the game or software and then re-install it. One of the files associated with d3dx9_37 may have been overwritten or deleted by accident.
  • You could try extracting the d3dx9_37 from the DirectX 9 package and placing it where it needs to be.
  • Re-install or update your graphics card drivers.

It has DINPUT.dll error

Dinput.dll errors usually appear when a game or other software program is started. and are caused in one way or another by an issue with Microsoft DirectX.

The dinput.dll file is one of many files contained in the DirectX software collection. Since DirectX is utilized by most Windows based games and advanced graphics programs, dinput.dll errors usually show up only when using these programs.

Solutions:

1. For Dinput.dll not found. Reinstalling Direct X should fix this.

2. Install the latest version of Microsoft DirectX. Chances are, upgrading to the latest version of DirectX will fix the dinput.dll not found error.

Note: Microsoft often releases updates to DirectX without updating the version number or letter so be sure to install the latest release even if your version is technically the same.

Note: The latest version of DirectX should be installed no matter if you're running Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP. The installation may include DirectX 11, DirectX 10, and DirectX 9 files, but they run side-by-side without problem on all of these operating systems.

3. Assuming the latest DirectX version from Microsoft doesn't fix the dinput.dll error you're receiving, look for a DirectX installation program on your game or application CD or DVD. Usually, if a game or other program utilizes DirectX, the software developers will include a copy of DirectX on the installation disc.

Sometimes, though not often, the DirectX version included on the disc is a better fit for the program than the latest version available online.

Uninstall the game or software program and then reinstall it again. Something might have happened to the program files that work with dinput.dll and a reinstall could do the trick.

Restore the dinput.dll file from the latest DirectX software package. If the above troubleshooting steps haven't worked to solve your dinput.dll error, try extracting the dinput.dll individually from the DirectX downloadable package.

4. Update the drivers for your video card. While it's not the most common solution, in some situations updating the drivers for the video card in your computer could correct this DirectX issue.

If you've already downloaded d3d9.dll from one of those DLL download sites, remove it from wherever you put it and continue with these steps.
  1. Restart your computer if you haven't yet.

  2. Install the latest version of Microsoft DirectX. Chances are, upgrading to the latest version of DirectX will fix the d3d9.dll not found error.

Note: Microsoft often releases updates to DirectX without updating the version number or letter so be sure to install the latest release even if your version is technically the same.

Note: The latest version of DirectX should be installed no matter if you're running Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP. The installation may include DirectX10 and DirectX9 files but they run side-by-side without problem on all of these operating systems.

Applies ToThe d3d9.dll error message could apply to any program that utilizes Microsoft DirectX, most commonly video games. Any of Microsoft's operating systems since Windows 98 may be effected by d3d9.dll and other DirectX issues. This includes Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Windows 2000.

I dont think you can . I have all the reel deal slots and none of them work with windows 7 directly. There is ittle or no help getting this to work on the EFX support site.
I am just taking the loss and throwing them all out none are worth anything to anybody I cant even give them away.
If there was a Windows 7 help on the support site this could be easier on all who have these.
Probably will no longer purchase the product, because the second there is a change we will be buying them all over again to meet the changes.
