If you have forgotten your security pattern, after a few attempts message is shown incorrect pattern. For unlocking follow the simple steps given below :
Touch Next > Enter Google account detail > Enter Google account details > Next > Username(email) > Enter your E-mail & Password > Unlock > New Pattern (Yes/No) > Home screen displays .

To set a lock pattern, go into the phone's settings, then security. In there, you'll see "pattern unlock" or something of that sort.

From there, you can set the pattern.

if you have forgotten your pattern lock, just give a few more tries to continue, then a message will display, the OS will report "attempts exceeded", then enter your gmail address and in the textbox for password just give value as 'NULL' this will instantly ask for new pattern lock and you are done!
