Encore technology needle or stylus - Encore Audio Players & Recorders

Can find this. Can't even find the company. And the only manual for a variation doesn't even list contact information. Saw where the stylus was made in Japan. 'Nostalgia Audio' equipment is made is China at the cheapest price point and is badged with an English name for the unsuspecting US and UK market. There are only some videos, no manuals and no maker website or distributor website, never a good sign.

Could be cartridge failure or a broken connection

I'm not sure how Encore Technology Portable Cassette Converter works with data. You are supposed to conect it to your computer via USB and convert audio files to digital audio format (MP3, WMA, etc) with an audio editor application. It comes with Audacity Audio Editor.
