YOU WILL STILL NEED TO PROGRAM THE NEW REMOTE FROM THE MANUAL THAT CAME WITH THE REMOTE. NORMALLY THIER ARE TWO WAYS TO PROGRAM A REMOTE EITHER MANUALLY OR TO DO IT AUTOMATICALLY. YES THE ORIGIONAL REMOTE IS ALREADY SET UP FOR YOUR MODEL OF TV BUT WITH THAT SAID TRY TO PROGRAM IT BY BOTH PARTS OF THE MANUAL. i AM USING A 55 INCH SMART TV AND HAVE DONE THIS AND ON OTHER SMART TV'S. ALSO YOU CAN GO TO THE WEBSITE OF THE REMOTE THAT YOU PURCHASE AND LOOK FOR VIDEOS ON HOW TO SET IT UP. IF YOU NEED MORE HELP LET SOMEONE HERE KNOW. GOOD LUCK.

Here are some general instructions for akai microwaves http://www.akai.com.ro/Resurse/Produse/Manuale/AM820CRL_MANUAL.pdf and it looks like their microwaves will not function unless the clock is set first, so that would be a good start. However, If you have the power level set to High, and you can microwave a glass of water for 2 mins, yet it still comes out cold, then the microwave itself is faulty and not cost effective to repair.
