thermostat is stuck closed, if not compressor relay is stuck closed, if not then the defrost timer is stuck closed. test the components in that order.

SOURCE: true freezer

Just to make sure--is the freezer plugged into a GFI outlet and is the little red button pushed in? Is it on it's on circuit and has it thrown the breaker?Have you tried a different outlet? Do you have any lights at all- showing power? did you have a power outage? If you had apower outage and it ruined your freezer, your homeowners insurance may cover it. I would have it looked at for an estimate.Ask ahead what a service call costs, and make a decision from there.

True T-49 refrigerator/freezer temperature calibration

Contact the manufacture, it is most likely going to be covered under warranty. If the knob is not removable, (check for a set screw on the side of the knob it will take a small allen wrench) Then the thermostat (temp controller) will need to be replaced, if it isn't a style that you can calibrate.

Regarding replacing the temperature control on the True t-23f freezer, I can't find it.

As soon as you open the freezer door the temp control is at the upper right of the freezer.

TEMP ON FREEZER IS NOT COLD ENOUGH WHEN SET TO -23 KEEPS RETURNING TO -9. there are three buttons on the top of the fridge, one with a speaker sign, one saying SUPER and the third with the degree sign....

Sounds like you need to do a 12 hour defrost. If the evaporator is caked with ice, the thermistor(temp.probe.) will also be covered. the true temp wont be read in this state. Defrost and then retry. Take note of temp for a period of time. See if it ever goes to -20 as selected. If so then at a later date it goes off again, there is then a defrost issue. Suspect the door was left open accidentally.

Freezeing up, not cooling

Without knowing if it a freezer or a cooler I will have to guess. Could be caused by a few things. I'll list them in order of the one I think is the most common reason.

Cooler
  1. Door gaskets or someone left door open for a time.
  2. Thermostat set to low.
  3. Low freon
  4. expantion valve out of adjustment or needs replaced
Freezer
  1. Defrost not working (Will have heaters with a timer)
  2. Low on freon or expantion valve

True commercial freezer

The ice could be preventing the freezer from freezing properly, try defrosting the unit. if this does not help then this could indicate a more serious problem like a bad temp sensor or refrigerant leak.
