SOURCE: Single handle faucet is leaking from the center.

If you remove the handle, you will be looking at the stem that you described. You will see the white plastic piece that surrounds that stem as well. If you go one more step outside of that is a retaining ring that is usually either grey or white that has a few notches out of it. This is a tension ring and when tightened, it will stop the leak. There are two small washers with springs that sit below the ball with the stem that can be replaced if you experiance a leak from the spout and not around the stem as you described. Hope this answers your question. Don't forget to rate the solution when your done! Have a very blessed night.

SOURCE: Single Handle faucet broke on my Kohler kitchen

Is cheaper to replace the whole tap as the service kits cost almost as much as the tap to buy, I presume you are talking about a flick mixer tap (that is what they are called in australia)
Replacing them is reasonably easy, turn off water at the main out on the footpath turn the tap on to let the water run out, go under the sink with a couple of spanners or deep reach socket and undo the lines and the tap hold down nuts and remove, replace in reverse order

SOURCE: Kohler Fairfax single control kitchen sink faucet

Remove the air-irater at the end of the faucet where the water comes out. That is where 99% of clog are on faucets. If that does not do it then you need to replace the cartridge.

Good Luck and please rate 4 thumbs up for the free answer.

SOURCE: How do I replace the cartridge in my Moen 7065 Vestige Single Handled kitchen Faucet?

first the water needs to be shut off, then with an allan wrench if i remember it should be 1/8. the allan screw is located in the handle. remove the screw completely and under the handle should be a nut, with a crescent wrench remove the nut and the cartridge should be ready to be removed. it is going to be difficult to come out with out the proper moen tool but vise grips will help as you have to pull straight up. if you find a plumping wholesale and give them the model # they should be able to give you the right cartridge. or if you call moen the will ship you one either way it should be free as that is a warranty item.

Leaking Kohler Vinnata kitchen faucet.

you must use genuine kohler parts,if you got something from lowes or home depot that was some other brand they usually leak. also look for calcium build up inside the valve body, you can use 1500 grit wet sand paper to remove it just be carefull and dont sand too much, then apply water proof plumbers grease inside the valve body befor you install the new cartridge.

did you replace the spout, -o- ring's. they would cause a leak to show up there as well.no need to pull cartridge again, just handle, and then pull up spout and that is it. there should be a small packet of lube w/ -o- ring kit, lube up around shaft and new -o- ring's.available at any good hrd ware store
