I keep getting this message " Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed on your computer." How do I fix this issue?
If hard drive logic board is no good, computer will not detect drive during setup operation.
I doubt the drive logic is no good. It was working just fine it all went wrong after I set the computer back to its factory settings. Pls help me out?
Check to see if CMOS detects drive. If negative, it is drive issue, if there then issue is with recovery software. Some recovery software will only work with the same hard drive used to make the recovery - if drive replaced with other unit it will not work. Is it a different hard drive?

It's very easy. You can switch SATA mode from AHCI to IDE (in Bios) and install XP, or leave AHCI mode, with 'nLite' integrate AHCI drivers into XP installatin files, burn and install... Drivers are not problem, just search in google, even ePower tools are working.

Remove the Phillips PM2.5x7.0 screw (1) that secures the optical drive to the computer
Insert a thin tool, such as a paper clip, into the media tray release hole (2). (The optical drive media tray release from the optical drive)
Use the media tray frame to slide the optical drive (3) to the left.
Remove the optical drive.

First of all, this Notebook is installed with SATA Hard Drive and the drivers for the SATA Hard Drive will not be available with retail versions of Windows XP by default.
I recommend you to try using different OEM versions of XP to install in your Notebook which should work.
Since the Notebook is preinstalled with Windows Vista, the XP Drivers for this Notebook are not directly available from HP.
I had searched some for you which should work.
Download the Drivers one after the other and save them with the name along with the Softpaq Number like the example given below :
Microsoft UAA_33566.exe
So that it will be easier for you to save them and identify.
Save the drivers in one location in the Notebook and double click them once the download is completed.
Make sure that you install the Microsoft UAA Drivers before installing the Audio or Modem Drivers.
Make sure that you install them in the same order I had provided them below :
You need to download the Intel Chipset Drivers for your Notebook from the link below :

Conexant High Definition(HD) audio :
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp34001-34500/sp34200.exe
As the Notebook is installed with Intel graphic Card, you need to download the Drivers for the same from the link below :

Download the Ricoh 5-in-one Card Reader Driver from the link below :

Download Intel PRO/Wireless Drivers from the below weblink:

Realtek Ethernet Drivers :
