test heater for failure and 382 ? code this is owners manual and codes foe jacuzzi j315 https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1263595/Jacuzzi-J-315.html?page=30#manual https://www.thecoverguy.com/backyard-blast/jacuzzi-hot-tubs-error-codes-information/ https://www.fortywinksonline.com/localimages/jacuzzierrorcodesexpalined.pdf
If your referring to a jacuzzi, your problem is a blown capacitor. You can inspect the board yourself to see if any of them are rounded on top. They look like mini soda can shaped objects protruding from the control board. They are dangerous to replace without knowledge of their functions, however are relatively cheap to replace.
Is the watchdog, consistent or does it show up every now and then?
If not consistent: then it is an indication that there is a "Potential" problem, not necessarily always indicating a problem is there. Power fluctuation will cause this as well.
It sounds like a may have a faulty pressure sensor. What I suggest is to verify all small wire plugs "push them in" and also make sure all gate valve are still opened.sometimes they may close by themselves if the tubes that keep then open fell off. Also, some of these units have multiple pump and u may have burned a few in the primary pump. Good lyck
make sure the heating element isnt touching the casing inside the heating tube. if its an indoor tub, make sure the filtration cycles are not set to constant. constant filter cycles on an indoor tub will generate residual heat from the circ pump running 24/7, causing tub to heat past 104 degrees
The condition you see on the topside control is known as "watchdog" Which usually means that the spa thinks it's "overheating"
Turn off the power to the spa for a couple of minutes, then restart, Watch the topside control if the temp. starts to climb & read a lot hotter than the actual water temp. Then it goes into watchdog, most likely you have a bad temp sensor. In some cases just resetting the spa will clear the watchdog & everything works fine. (Voltage fluctuations, "spikes" can freak out the electronics & the tub goes into watchdog to protect itself) If the spa immediately goes into watchdog when you reset it, you might have a bad board. (Let's pray it's not) 90% of the time it's a bad temp. sensor.
