SOURCE: Left Deck Door Stuck Shut on Cassette Deck

The cassette mechanism has a large gear that rotates to different positions for the different modes. On time around is a play - stop cycle. It is stuck in one position and won't come around to the stop spot. Need to take the cover off and help it to turn to get the cassette out. Then figure out if something is wrong preventing it from turning or if the wheel driving it is the problem. They are all a little different so this is where your mechanical apptitude comes in.
By the way, you'll figure out right away they don't intend these things to be fixed.
Hope Ya Fix It.

SOURCE: tape not loading

Chances are it is in need of a major cleaning. Usually by the time this happens the cleaning tape will do no good. A good internal cleaning is usually the only thing that will help it........Has it been droped? If it has then you could need repairs

SOURCE: canon es900 8mm camcorder won't allow tape insertion

Canon ES series camcorder was designed with 1000 hour capacitors on the processor boards. When the time comes these capaictors loose value and create problems for the main computer to communicate with other mechanical system in the camcorder. We were able to service well 7 years ago but the life of these component has aged too much to make it good anymore. I wish I have a better news for you but the success repair on 'ES model is very slim and if repaired, the labor charge may run many times over of the value of this camcorder. You can probably obtain a newer used camcorder at decent price and get all you tapes into DVD quick. Good luck -James

Canon es55 video camera. Everytime I put a tape in, it ejects it. If I take the tape out, and close the door,it will will automatically close and stay closed

Hi,

Please first make sure that there is nothing within the video camera that was accidentally lodged into the space where the tape would fit.

Also, please double check that you're orienting the video tape properly when inserting it into the video camera. I would also test different tapes to see if the issue is consistent.

Also, you might have to rewind each tape because I think if the tape is at it's end, then it automatically leads to the tape being spit out.

Thank you.

Tape Will Not Come Out

Hi fleet, If your tape will not advance, rewind, and it wont come out i pretty sure its stucked, (maybe you inserted it wrong, somthing got stucked or it fall when the tape was in.)

First lets try somthing that will not make things worse for sure.
Try pressing the open button while your camera is up-side-down. Also try it side ways. If the cover dosent open, let me know.

Hi there Guys! Problem with Sony Camcorder DCR - TRV230E

Stuck sensor. Sounds silly but smack it.

Hit your camera several times with a flat hand (bottom, tape side). Its strange but it solved it for a lot of people. Firmly smack the bottom and then put the battery back on and give a it a shot.

Stuck tape in camcorder

I had a similar problem with an older panasonic camera. Mybe you have tried this, but opening the door and pushing up on the tape. Push in and use enough force but don't try to break it. Try pressing different spots. Sooner or later the motor might start moving it up. Just a though, it worked for me.

Canon ES55 camcorder

The camcorder has a port called "Audio Video Out". You need an adapter cable (Canon's cable is the C-250) to connect from this port to a television or VCR. Use the white RCA plug on the cable with the "Audio In" jack and the yellow RCA plug with the "Video In" jack on the television or VCR.
Canon's cable is available from their online store at

C:32:11 message flashes, cassette eject won't work, camera doesn't work

Just had this problem myself... called Sony. Here is what I did to fix this:

1. Turn off power
2. Open the LCD Display
3. Press "Reset" with paperclip/pen
4. Unplug ANY wires connected to the camcorder
5. Eject battery
6. Plug in DC charger
7. Power on
8. Attempt to eject tape
9. At this point, the metal tape holder comes out but refuses to open... slightly "close" the portion of the camcorder that has the button to eject the tape, and then open it fully again (you'll hear a click, this signals the device that the 'hatch' is open and to eject).
10. The metal door *should* pop out and allow you to withdraw the tape.

I've tried 4 different cassettes and about 2 seconds after hitting play, I get the error every time... my solution: Not going to try to play my tapes on the camcorder anymore... will find another player to play Hi8 MP cassettes. Unknown if able to record to tape as of yet.
