Oil it, it is amazing what a little oil will do to keep a machine running quietly and smoothly

When my janome 350e did this I had to take it in to be calibrated and one month later it did it again and I had to take it back it has not given me any problems since but it would be nice to know how to do this myself it only took 5 minutes for this and takes me 3 hours there and 3 hours back. See if the embroidery arm is bent, that will jam the unit as it trys to move. If is bent you may be able to straighten my bending it gently. The arms get bent by tilting the machine to the back while the arm is exrended.

Have you oiled it lately? under the bobbin there is a white colored "wick" one drop of oil (maybe 2 now).
It also might be time for a professional service.
