First check and see if the rotor is broke if not check your points,you can file them But i would put a new set in with a condensor,I hope this helps you and thanks

The radiator. All in line engines always have the #1 cyl closest to the harmonic balancer / belt pulley.

SOURCE: NEED TO KNOW HOW TO TIGHTING STEERING ON 140 tractor

if all tie rods are tight the steering box has a philips screw with a jam nut loose nut turn screw in until it stops, back out a little tighten jam nut. that takes slack out of worm gear. hope this helps

The point gap should be 0.013 inches. You should also check the end play and run out on the shaft before point installation (vertical & horizontal movement)- should be minimal or the engine will run erratic or not at all if too loose.

How do I get the right side brake cover off of a Farmall M?

You will need to remove the band that wraps around the brake drum. If you cannot get the cover to come off, you will have to remove the band activation arm to slide the cover off. This will require a lot of penetrating oil. Most likely the band shaft has rusted tight into the transmission frame. You may need to remove the operator platform to access from the inside.

Farmall Super A Tractor won't crank

wateri in carb. Drain sediment bowl if you have one, install a new gas filter , inline, and then open the drain on the end of carb, small plug, and let all water out. Install a shutoff on gas line and when your done with the maching shut it off and let the tractor run out of gas. That way you will never have a condensation problem. My super A starts 1st time every time due to this precaution.

Have a farmall super c when the guy repainted it he power washer the old grease and dirt out from the fly wheel now after i start it i cant get it into gear

worked on a farm-all not too long ago and soundslike he may have knocked something into the yokes or knocked something loose. pull the inspection plate off the front of the trans housing and see if it is jambed or loose up in there.
