My McCall reach in freezer seems to run all the time, is this normal?

you need model number and serial number . refrigerant type and possibly the compressor model number to determine the txv type and capacity

We have a commercial freezer and where the temp should be showing it reads LLL can anyone tell me what that means. it is a MaCall 4-4070.

If the condenser coil is clean and the unit is in an area where the ambient temp. is 80 degrees or less, it is most likely a refrigerant problem. Probably low and has a leak. Another issue could be that the line sizes for the distance the refrigerant has to travel, may be wrong. Since I don't know the distance, you may need to have that checked into also. You should not have more than a 1-2 psi drop due to line size and distance traveled.

Yes. Every thing will run and the only time unit will shut off is when it reached auto defrost. Door open will just not let temps reach normal ranges. There is no protection for this.

Hi, I have searched the Internet for the last 1/2 for any thing on McCall Commercial Reach-ins. I did however find the name side by side with Bevearage-Air, Traulsen, Denfield,True, Ect. McCall was right there. When I clicked on it, I was taken to all the other brands? I was able to get a number for you and hopefully this link may help you to get where you need to go.

The McCall web site has nothing easily found on the 7-7045FT unit.
In answer to you questions, first, what is the expansion device. TXV, Cap Tube, or something else?
Low site pressure will be dictated by the super heat. The high side, in many cases, is usually ambient plus 30, then convert to psi.

Yes you can order a set from most locksmiths that cut keys to code.
You may be able to order a set by phone for this.

Alternatively, the manufacturer will keep replacements, but may cost slightly more.

look under the unit to see if the condenser ciol is dirty..This is most likely the problem.. sweep it out with a vac. and temps should go back to normal let me know if that is not it.

maybe its time your fridge to go to the service center. 5 years is a long time yaknow. have them check for the freon as it might have runned out.
