If the device is not functioning properly or to clear memory, reset it.
Important:
If resetting the printer's power does not clear the error or return the
machine to a functioning state, it may be necessary to attempt a
service reset.

- On the operator panel, press and hold the <ON/OFF> button for one second. (The display will go blank.)
Note: It may be necessary to unplug the power cord if pressing the ON/OFF button does not shut off the printer.
- Wait approximately ten seconds and then press the <ON/OFF> button again.
- Wait until the device has completed its cycling process before submitting another job request.
Service Reset:
- On the operator panel, press and hold the <ON/OFF>
button for one second to power off the printer. (The display will go
blank.)
Note: It may be necessary to unplug the power cord if pressing the ON/OFF button does not shut off the printer.
- Confirm the printer is not on and then unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
If the power cord was disconnected (as stated in step 1) in order to shut off the printer, go to step 3.
- Press the <ON/OFF> button repeatedly five times.
- Re-connect the power cord.
- Press the <ON/OFF> button to power the printer back on.

Load documents properly into the MX310 document feeder
Load the documents properly into the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF)
Fan the documents and then align the edges before loading them into ADF.
- Remove all documents from the ADF.
- Fan out the sheets of paper well so that they do not stick together.
- Stack the documents on a flat surface to align the edges of the paper.
- Insert the top of the document, face up, into the ADF until a beep is heard.
Ensure that the edge of the document stack is in line with the Paper Size Mark
(A) imprinted on the Document Tray.
