SOURCE: How do you manually program

As evidenced by the lack of a numerical keyboard, your scanner is an oddball that does not allow direct keyboard programming of a known frequency. Rather, you can only transfer a displayed frequency from the SCAN mode or SEARCH mode into the PRIVATE bank. Details for doing this can be found on pages 24 through 26 of the Uniden owners manual. If you don't have the manual, you can download and print it, at no cost, here:

With all due respect, I suggest reading the user manual that came with your scanner. The user manual is the best reference material there is. for this product. If you need frequencies go to www.radioreference.com

I kenwood TK-2000 radios. when I read the radio, all the frequencies listed are vhf frequencies.but when I program a vhf frequency it says it is out of band it can only accept 400 to 440 mhz. This goes for...

Based on the information you provided, it seems like the Kenwood TK-2000 radios you have may have been programmed with the wrong band split. The TK-2000 is available in both VHF and UHF frequency ranges, and it's possible that the radios you have are actually UHF models, despite being listed as VHF frequencies when you read the radios.
To check if your radios are UHF or VHF, look for a label on the back of the radio that specifies the frequency range. If it says UHF, then the radios can only accept frequencies in the 400-440 MHz range. If it says VHF, then the radios should be able to accept frequencies in the VHF frequency range.
If you've confirmed that the radios are indeed VHF models, then it's possible that the band split settings may need to be adjusted in the programming software to match the specific VHF frequencies you're trying to program. I recommend checking the manual for your programming software to ensure that you have selected the correct band split settings before programming the radios. If you're still having issues, it may be helpful to contact Kenwood customer support for further assistance.

I am trying to program a kenwood protalk tk3402u16p and I am getting an error code that says ""please check that the model and market code are correct

It may be an out of market radio, meaning from another country. Most cannot be programmed to USA frequencies. It may be a frequency not allowed in that model. You did not list a frequency, you have a Uhf radio, it can only be programmed for Uhf, business band channels and a few others, like manufacturing or shared emergency channels. more information please.

What is the frequency for the Kenwood TK-3402U-k hand held radio

This is a UHF radio and is programmable by a Kenwood radio dealer. They do not come with any frequencies set into them. They are commercial radios and may be able to be programmed to HAM frequencies, if you are a HAM, or to your licensed commercial frequency. However, these radios may no longer be approved for commercial use in the US.

How do you program a uniden bearcat scanner bc355c

Turn on the radio
Press the "band" button
Keep pressing the "band" button until you come within the parameters of the frequency that you want
Let the radio scan until it gets close to the actual frequency that you're looking for
Press the "hold" button and use the arrow "up" or "down" button till you lock in the correct frequency
Once you have the frequency locked in, press the "program" button
Press the "private" button

How do i set a frequency on the privat channel

You didn't mention whether you have a BC350A or a BC350C, so here are links to the owners manuals for both. They go into detail on programming frequencies into the "PRIVATE" bank.

I have a kenwood tk 360 how can i use it to talk to other kenwood radios and what is the monitor switch?

The TK-360 is an 8-channel commercial/business radio that's available with a wide variety programmed frequencies, and operation requires a license. Unlicensed operation could interfere with authorized users and carry a heavy fine/penalty. The MONITOR switch lets you lock onto and listen to one of the programmed frequencies even when you have not specifically been called. You can identify the programmed frequencies by using a frequency counter or a scanner with the "Close Call" feature.

Scanning programmed channels

Not exactly. You can program channels however into the Private bank. To do so though you must search for the channel first...This may simply mean going to a channel you already know by using the band button to start searching...Push the hold button to stop it close to the frequency and then use the arrow keys to get to the exact frequency. then push the Prog button. After pushing it, push the Private button (you will see CH next to the frequency) using the arrow keys select the channel you want to store on and push Prog again. To scan the stored channels simply push the private button...Done! It can be a tedious process...expecially with 50 channels....but It's the only way I know how to do it...Good luck!
