4 GB micro sd and the Sandisk Sansa e250R...

Okay, when I plug in my Sandisk Sansa e250R (2GB) two removable disks appear under "My Computer", the first one is "Sansa e250R (F:)" and the second one is "Removable Disk (G:)". I put the 4GB micro sd into my Sandisk Sansa e250R (2GB) yet 'disk G' shows no capacity in used or free. Could it be player not being able to read that capacity of GB because I have a SD adapter for the 4GB micro SD and I put it in my digital player and it works fine. Or should go to a firmware upgrade even if it cleans out all my music or is it too risky as to damaging my Sandisk Sansa e250R (2GB).
In additon to that problem there is no longer a music folder list under 'disk F:' So I can't see what music is on there even thought its on the actual Sandisk Sansa e250R (2GB) and also I would like to know how to delete some songs on my Rhapsody channels.

If the 4gb micro SD is a high capacity SD (it will say micro SDHC on it) your player may not be able to read SDHC cards, my sansa can't because it's the 'older version' it will read 2gb and below micro SD cards though (it sucked when I found out because I had just bought a 6gb micro SDHC)

How to expand my memory and what type of memory card to buy

It will certainly take a 2GB microSD card.

This link on Sandisk forums tells how to check if you have a version 2 that will take a 4GB.

Where to buy one? My local supermarket has them, or you could check a camera store, or even office supplies. as well as the usual computer or electronics stores.

Can I attach an 8 GB Micro SD Card in the expansion slot of my Sansa e250? If not, what is the maximum storage size it supports?

The e250 uses microSD cards, not microSDHC cards. The maximum size of microSD cards is 2GB. Anything larger are microSDHC cards.

2gb Sansa Fuze won't recognize 2gb Micro SD

place the blank card into the SanDisk player
go to SETTINGS press "enter"
go to SYSTEM SETTINGS press "enter
go to FORMAT press "enter"
it will ask "are you sure you want to format this device"?
select YES

dowload songs to REMOVABLE DISK drive F, at least that is what my PC assigned it to. You will overload your MP3 PLAYER if you continue to download to the Sanza Drive.

Hope this helps.

Sansa c240 and a 4 GB Micro SD HC card.

Sansa C240 can only read SD cards that are NOT SDHC - that means it can only read up to a 2gb Micros SD card.

How do I use the SanDisk adaptor and the SanDisk 2GB microSD

Hello,

The micro card (the smaller one) can be used alone in a port that accepts (microSD ports)such as those on a Sansa c240, c250, e250 etc.
If you have a regular SD slot (larger than microSD) then you plug the micro card in the adapter and plug the whole into a regular SD slot.

Plug the card in your computer and copy paste the files. Or plug the micro card in an MP3 player that accepts it and use you music transfert software.

You only have one card (the micro SD one), which you can use in two possible slots.

Hope it helps.

Adding a 8GB MICRO SD card to the Sansa e260

I read somewhere that a 4 GB Micro SD card is the largest you can put in the SanDisk Sansa E260 expansion slot. It's maximum capacity is 8 GB, with internal + external memory put together. This is from what I've read. Hope this helps.

Micro sd card

You can only see the card thru My Computer as a removable disk.

You can manually transfer the files thru My Computer by dragging & dropping then onto the card.

Best of Luck.
