FCC says it only has to display a picture, with 16 formats it tough to get it to ever fit right, use 16x9 or full on TV remote , then 16x9, stretch 1080i on cable box

Picture does not fit into 52 in as if there is a zoom on can't see writing at bottom of screen, for example basketball scores

You have to press the hd zoom# or format or wide (or etc.) button on your cable tv or satellite tv remote. If that isn't doing anything then you might have your cable box or satellite tv receiver set on the wrong resolution for your television. Your television's remote might also have a wide or format button on it that needs to be pressed. Also make sure your television is on the right input.

Picture Is Too Big for Screen

Sounds like your cable box is zoomed in, I run into this a lot when running service calls. On most cable provider's remotes there is an 'aspect' button next to or around the '0'. Try that and see if it helps you out at all :)

My 14 month old, 32 inch Samsung flat screen tv ''flickers'' The cable went 'out' 3 or more times and when returning the TV started flickering. We have unplugged & plugged it back in several times, but...

Check if this occurs regardless what the source of the signal, whether it is DVD or cable or a playstation. You can also check if the Menu flickers as well. If the menu does not flicker along with the picture it could be a problem with the source, probably your with the cable box or the port where it goes to on your tv

No picture or sound/wont power up

Your mainboard is damaged, the mainboard is the one where you plug all the cables (component HDMI), it is really easy to replace, you only need to take special care with the screws.
1. remove all screws in the back.
2. unplugg all cables from mainboard.
3. remove all srews from mainboard and replace it.
4. put all screws back and then plug all cables again.
5. double check all mainboard cables are properly secured.
6. Test TV.
7. put the back cover and secure it with the screws.

8. Enjoy your TV again.

Optical output on tv through dvd home cinema out of sync

Up front, i copied this from another site, so kudos to the OP there if this works for anyone...

Hi,
This same problem had been bugging me when I bought my LE37B650, everyone suggested adjusting the delay time on my AV amp but unfortunately mine does not have this function.

Anyway I finally fixed the problem using the following steps

Before you start make a note of your menu settings as you will have to reset them after this procedure

Turn off the TV then press Info -> Menu -> Mute in sequence then turn the TV back on again. This will get you into the secret Service Menu. Go straight to the AUDIO page of the menu. Don't be tempted to fiddle with things in service menu cos you can end up in a right old pickle!

In the AUDIO page you willl notice that there is a time delay set for the internal speakers of 100ms but for some reason this is not set for the external output so all you need do is dial in a 100ms delay there and that should sort the problem. Well it fixed it for me.

Note that as soon as you enter the service menu, all your other standard menu settings are lost and the screen will be set to dynamic for some reason so you have to go through and change everything back after you have done this.

Hope this Helps

This would suggest that you CAN fix the problem with an analog amp.

Also interested to see if a 2 year old thread is alive!

4 inch thick black vertical line down the middle of the screen

A month from purchase you shouldn't even bother yourself with this. Their problem.... give the shop/samsung a call. If you have no reason to suspect any cable problem, and a different input device(other than the DVD) doesn't affect it, don't waste time and get on the phone. Good luck
