The reason for that error code is that there is something in the printer mechanism. Since you say that it happened after changing ink cartridge, make sure there is nothing inbetween the cartridge and ink that interferes, but usually that error refers to something in the way of printing. It is possible that some ink got onto the timing strip when changing ink. Clean that strip if it's the case. More solutions on the video I attached. Hope it helps your printer.

With the machine powered on. Just lift up on the entire top portion on the platen unit, lower the front verticle cover and the printhead should come to the correct position to change out the ink tanks, just tilt tanks towards the front of the unit and lift out.

Please go to this Canon link (click here) and enter the term "ink cartridge replacement" in the search window for a set of detailed instructions (with pictures) on how to replace your ink cartridges.
As you face the printer, with the scan cover open,in position to remove them, the black cartridge goes on your left and the color on the right.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

SOURCE: Canon MP460 ink cartridge not recognised

Perhaps the chips in the cartridges have failed? In which case you may need to replace them with brand new cartridges. If that doesn't work you might need to send it for repair as the cartridges might have damaged your machine.

SOURCE: Canon Pixma IP600D - error code 6502

Sometimes the Canon printers which use PG-5BK/CL-8 colour cartridges with chips will give error massages like 6502 or other types of error message to do with the cartridges, which has the orange light flashing and the printer will not work. Follow this procedure which quite often resets the printer and allows it to resume printing.

When error is indicated, turn power switch off so green light is extinguished.

First hold down resume button and then hold down power button so both are held down at same time

When green light comes on, continue holding down power button and let resume button go, then press resume button twice. Then let power button go.

Then press resume button four times, power button should be released before doing this.

Wait until printer settles down, if power is off, turn on. If power will not come on, remove power cord from back of printer, then wait 15 seconds before plugging back in again and turn power on. This normally solves the error problem - if not go through same procedure again.

Incidentally, you may find that if the chips had previously been disabled, the low ink warnings are showing again and they will have to be disabled once more. This would indicate that the above procedure clears the firmware memory of the disabling of the chips, this may be useful if you need some warranty work done on your
printer after the chips had been disabled.

Error C000 has also been known to be caused by poorly seated or unseated ink tanks. Another method that can be used to try and fix Error C000 is to open the printer door and make sure that all of the printer's ink tanks are properly seated.

Hello there,
The C000 error is cause by the ink cartridge not being seated properly. Here are some instructions from Canon on how to resolve it. If this doesnt work, try to replace your ink cartridge. If still you are having issues, it might be that the ink cartridge cradle in the printer is faulty. I hope this helps! Thumbs up are much appreciated.

Hi, my canon mp 630 has an error code of c000 and i'm not sure how to fix it or what it means. it says to turn it off which I have tried a few times now. suggestions?

The C000 error is due to an ink cartridge not being seated properly, remove all the of ink cartridges and reseat each one in turn. Turn the printer off and then back on again and see if the code goes away.
