If You have the power side of stick plugged into a USB port on the tv, unplug it from TV and use a wall plug adapter to power the stick! Sometimes the TV USB does don't send enough juice to the stick to give it the power it needs, which will freeze up the stick! If this is the problem, and a fix please give me a point for helping Ya! Thanks!

How do I stop the fire stick from locking up when watch a program?

If You are powering the stick from the USB port on TV, You need to plug the power to stick from the wall plugin using adapter instead of TV's USB port. The port in most cases does not have enough power to run the stick! This will cause the stick to stop performing restart or freeze up!
