Had the same exact problem; Hisense tv switched off when the Netflix button was clicked. Suspect it was because I was switching off the tv without switching off the Netflix app.
Seems to have been sorted by clearing the application cache and cookies. Using remote, go to:
Menu > Settings > System > Application Settings > Clear Cache & Cookies
Note that you will lose your existing login to Netfix and will have to log in again or register.

Did you try to reinitialize? Setup menu go down to the third Setup#1 menu and make sure you click OK to reinitialize. That's what the manual said.

i think the firmware is corrupted ..... you must install new firmware ....
just visit the nearby showroom or technician he will install the new firmware ..........
for installing firmware it may costs some 300 to 400 bugs ....
how ever there may be other problems too may be the battery is dead just change battery and check....
check whether it is detecting in pc or not..........

I finally broke down and took my truck to the dealer. It took them two tries, but they finally figured it out. It turned out to be the wiring harnes for the shift lever. When it exits the steering column, it was being chafed, and eventually wore through a wire and was intermittently shorting. It would blow a fuse (don't remember which one - I think it was on the bottom row, third in from the right. 20A). It stopped the alternator from charging too. They replaced the shifter harness and the problem went away. I did get a ticket while my speedo was inop however.
Sounds like the motor is cutting out on its thermal fuse. The only cure is to change the motor.
