It could be possible there is thread, lint, other debris that has become wound into the machine's inner workings. Opening the machine and looking for things that don't belong and then carefully removing them may solve the problem. Also recommend refraining from running the machine's motor while the machine is locked to prevent damaging the motor. A better suggestion is taking your machine for service. It could very well benefit from a general overall checkup, cleaning, oiling, and adjustment.

SOURCE: Attaching fit button-hole foot?

Just pull down on the original metal foot. It will snap off and then you can snap on the button hole foot. Good luck!

SOURCE: no instructions how do you tread the machine?

Just go to this site: www.sewusa.com They have threading guides for free. They are the main importers for Necchi in the USA (from what I understand anyway).

Needle not going up and down on necchi 544

There should be a button in the balance wheel on the left side of the machine. Not sure on your model, but most of the Necchi's pull out and push in. That disenguages the needle arm to wind a bobbin. Some of them screw in or out, but generally pull out. You might try pulling it out and then pushing it back in, until it clicks. Then it should work fine.
