One line lead wire to the L1 terminal, the other line lead wire to the L2 terminal and the green ground wire to the green grounded screw above the motor terminal board. It does not matter which wire, white or black, is on which terminal, L1 or L2, so long as one wire is on each terminal.

Are you trying to remove lid when the pump is on? NO, NO, NO

If not, then good! If you have valves before and after the equipment, then close them. Then remove the small 1/4" drain plug to empty the pot. Then try removing the lock ring and open it up.

On the right side, usually opposite the discharge. You may need to use a butterknife of flat head to push it in; push in and turn.

I need to replace the power cable - what do I need to do?  And where can I get a replacement?

ACE is the place bring the pump with you and just ask your helpful hardware man "what cord do i need ".. DUMP ALL UF THE WATER OUT OF THE PUMP FIRST, so he don't get wet .
