Our scooters are just under 1 y/o. They only have hours of use. After charging them (they had been sitting in the garage over winter) they should the batteries go bad this quickly? I am assuming it is the battery, because it is the same exact problem with 2. Thank you for your time. Marci Boggess

Hi Marci. Take the scooters, batteries and all plus your charger to any autozone store and ask them to test your batteries and charger for you. They have the equipment to do these tests and they do it for no charge, they are great.

Why is the elite mega not running and shows charging and has no power?

Have you left the charger plugged in as the scooter will not power up with charger plugged into the scooter for safety reasons.

Scooter appears to be charged and works, but doesn't travel more than 3mph. Has plenty of tork with NO LOad. bATteries were always hot when charging and surface of deck was too hot to touch. Scooter...

PCassels Check the brake located on the rear of the motor. If the brake is dragging on the motor housing it will cause heat and slow the scooter down. If you can, remove the brake from the motor but leave the wires connected. Tie the brake up so it won't fall and see if that makes a difference in speed and heat reduction. Don't overcharge the batteries Charge overnite or until the green light on the charger comes on indicating a full charge. Never charge more than 10 hours for this scooter. Now with the brake not on the motor the scooter will not have brakes so watch out on ramps and steep inclines. If it is only a few months old then it is still under warranty and you need to contact the provider that sold the scooter to get it repaired correctly Hope this helps

Try to use scooter, clicking sound, then moves bout 4 inches. charged batteeries all night.

How old are the batteries? When you connect the charger, if the charger indicates the batteries are charged within a few minutes and the battery power does not last more than 1-2 hours or less, it may indicate that that the batteries will not take a charge anymore and need to be replaced.
If the battery indicator on the scooter says the batteries are charged but the scooter still will not move, make sure the freewheel lever is in the drive position.
If you continue to have issues, contact your sales person or the manufacturer to schedule a service call.
Good luck!

Charging

i would say it all depends on how many AH your battery is and what amp your charger is they differ between 8 to 14 hours that is for new batteries as a battery gets older the less time it takes to charge so if your batteries are getting fully charged in 2 hours its time to start thinking of changing them
good luck and hope this helps
