Retractable Iron Cord Stuck

It looks like it might be a special model for sale on Amazon. Pick one that looks the same. They all word alike. Plug in, control the heat, press the button for extra steam.

So many people make a copy of that iron maybe a local repair shop for tefal, black n decker, or another can do it. Taking things apart sometimes is not worth the trouble of putting back together. sometimes it requires special tools. call around first before you try it yourself

Bring the iron to a Hardware store, ask for a set of tools right for the type of screws (maybe Torx, Security Torx, tri-wing, bristol and others).

Once you can open the iron and access to the cord you may change the power cord. it is easy.

Power goes on & off because the power cord is broken. This failure is very common on irons.

mcdevito75 here, You may have a problem with the heating element in your iron, Check to see if you have a Warrantee if so, return the iron to Black & Decker. In the meantime look for an appliance repair shop in your area and have the iron checked out.

take a knife or a flat blade screw driver,
and pry the knob up,
put your hand over it so nothing will fall far,
then line the two pics together and it should work.

You have a short somewhere in the cord. As this is a risk for fire, the Iron should either be taken for repair or replaced.

seems like you have to take it apart

you have to check the cable you can use multi tester in ohm position to make sure the connection no problem, and turn the adjustment temperature and watch on multitester the resistance will change if nothing happen you have to change cord with new one.
