Its should be one of about 3 answers.
1) Under the hood of your truck inside a black plastic box, is a set of fuses and circuit breakers for:
a) electrical items found in the front of the truck, and
b) electrical items which take a large amount of electricity.
Look at the fuses and circuit breakers in there for a problem.

2) You have a switch that turns on the headlights.
It can fail ( but rarely does). It is your dashboard switch.

3) You may have a "high beam/low beam" switch that you activate (like a turn signal switch) to change high to low or visa versa. It can fail.
God bless your efforts.

1994 GMC Topkick not getting power from the fuel pump. Where is the fuel pump relay located?

Before going there, check your INERTIA SWITCH (INTERTIAL CUTOFF SWITCH). A small accident or a sharp bump can cause the cutoff switch to trip. The switch is located adjacent to the passenger side rear shock tower, and there is a pushbutton to reset (on most Topkick tucks). Carbureted Topkick trucks do not have cutoff switches, and some custom trucks have the inertia switch relocated.

1998 gmc c7500 topkick, replaced fuel pump but it's still not cranking and when it does, won't stay cranked. Like it's not getting fuel, any suggestions?

First, use test gauge to check for correct fuel pressure. Bad regulator could be the issue, or badly clogged fuel filter. Next, test ignition module.

Brake lights quit working.

if all fuses and bulbs are ok get to the brake switch and see ifits stiff or stuck, if it just has two wires on it you could join themtogether to see if the brake lights come on though obviuosly dont leave them joined.Good luck davelee
