Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease is a degenerative brain disorder. It leads to dementia and, ultimately, *****. This disease is rapidly progressive and always fatal. Most patients die within a year.

Cause of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease is abnormal versions of a kind of protein called a prion. These proteins are harmless, but when they're misshapen they become infectious and can wreak havoc on normal biological processes.
