Press display on or (activate control) button first you should then be able to choose fridge or freezer and change set temp
after set will read actual temp 46 is a little high sounds like you have service issue

SOURCE: Freezer alarm stuck on - can't reset

Hi: Does the freezer have a battery backup for the electronics? A 9v. battery in the grill down below. You won't have to remove the grill but pull a small rectangular panel to expose the battery. High end Kenmore freezers have a battery to back up the alarm. The six you see is actually supposed to be a "b" for battery most likely. L.E.D.'s are tough to tell the difference. Buy an new battery and all will be well. I hope this helps, Jeff

Both freezer and main sections appear to be operating (lights are on) but do not appear to be generating cold -- in freezer ice and food have melted. Thoughts on troubleshooting?

Unplug your fridge for 1 hour and then plug it back in. This may reset your timer to work again. Also while unplugged bang on the inside walls to free up a possible stuck timer switch. Goodluck Google burdfrenzy

Our new 48" Viking side by side does not feed ice cubes adequately. If you need several glasses of cubes it stops feeding and when one opens the freezer door they are piled up and fall all over the floor....

I experienced the same problem several times with our VCSB483DSS also.

What I found was that the ice come down the chute side way and got stuck at the flap in the door. As you continue to press for ice, the machine pushes more ice & they all back up in side the chute and in the door, ready to dump on unsuspecting person who open the freezer door.

I think the the problems are:
1 - over application of foam insulation in the chute pathway in the door.
2 - possible bad timing on the flap opening causing the falling ice to get stuck.

My solution for the past 6 years:
1 - clean out the over application of foam insulation - this reduce the incident frequency from once a month to once or twice a year.
2 - inform my family member that if while you pressed for ice, and the ice is not dropping, but you hear the motor still cranking away, stop pressing for ice immediately. Stick you finger up the dispenser to make sure the flap is open, and push the ice to un-stuck them. And finally, be prepare to get 2 cups full of ice.

Viking may make professional quality fridge (13 years experience in restaurant business), but ice & water dispenser is not their strong point.

How do you adjust the door swing angle on the Viking VCFF036 bottom freeze French door model? What are the angles?

Check with your Viking rep. I had a problem that the door swings too wide. They said they are coming u with a kit to replace the door stop. I was told there will be a 100 degree doorstop kit for my problem The door when swung open gets a ding from an adjacent Viking electric oven with the professional door.

Viking Pro VCBB36 -warming up + alarm

Over the past several years my heat alarm would come on, first time I called a PROFESSIONALLY, he told me to unplug for 24HOURS, than start it. The solution worked for two years, just happened again, unplugged it for 24 hours, and it seems fine. My guess it must need to defrost. Good luck!

My alarm in the viking refrigerator keeps going off and the doors are securely shut

Hi,

As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer2_bing.gif and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...

Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...
